Does anyone know if an 80 mm fan slot on the front and back of my pc is convertable to a 120mm case fan?

btw.. which one is a reliable and cheap 80mm case fan? (i dont care about dbs, just cfm)

I'd suggest Vantec's 80mm Tornado. Of course, it's rated at 84CFM and 5400 RPM. It's plenty loud though. I have it cooling my cpu and it runs an average of 107-110 degrees(20 degrees difference over the stock fan). If you were to use it as a cpu fan like I have then I would recommend Thermalright's SLK-800A/U copper heatsink. I haven't tried to use one as a case fan though. I'm sure it'll do the job.

It's a massive fan too. I tested it once without it secured to my case and held it and it has a ton of torque behind it. :)

I'm not sure about the upconverting but I bet it is possible.

to upconvert, you need to drill a 120mm hole in which to fit the fan - just get a decent 80mm fan. In my experience, case fans don't help nearly as much as the heat sink-fan combo you're using. For example, I'm using a 2500rpm Thermaltake SilentBoost and it alone made a 15-20 degree difference.
