What shall we do about tyre wear?

HHHHHAAAAAATTTTTEEEEEEE

EIGER!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the worst track ever designed....ever, a proper pile of 🤬

You do one lap where you get no oversteer, the next lap you drive it exactly the same and the back end goes even when you aren't on the gas. It's utterly ridiculous and I loath it

It takes about 3 laps for your tyres to warm up properly, my first laps have always been over a second off the pace :(

It doesnt seem like anyone is a fan of Eiger but that will change when someone wins there on wed :D

 yeah, LSD 60/60/60 front and back, top speed 300 mph, -10 -10 on the ride height and 200kg of ballast helps :sly:

No, you need to go higher on the top speed than that, and dont forget to drop the power by 50%, take the turbos off, put comfort hard tyres on, switch all driving aids off, then put everything in the suspension settings to a random number :D

Did we? All I can remember is going round a horrible track tyring to keep up, and then going round an even worse track trying to stay ahead :D Also leant that you cant wallride flat out at the last corner of eiger :)

holy crap its this evening and i havent practised since i posted my times, argh! id best get on it after 5pm lol.

although i can achieve 1.03 on either, thats not taking into account the tyre degradation, so its going to be interesting to see how the fronts holds up due to the amount of sudden sharp corners and the odd long sweeping bend on eiger.

At least you've had some practice, I haven't had a single lap around autumn ring, and about 5 at eiger :(

This is how it should be! In the early days of rugby practising was considered 'unsporting' by the posh English teams
I have had 5 laps at AR (not bad) and I think 10 laps at Eiger (awful) :D

Phew I've cracked it, 1.03.1 on eiger, and mid teens on Autumn, this may not be as bad as I thought :D

Oh and this is a warning for the race at Autumn ring, it is very tempting to cut the corners here, and you can gain a lot of time.
There will be a certain amount of leniency BUT if you cut corners numerous times every lap the likely hood is you will be disqualified.
It will be stewarded fairly rigorously, also if you gain a place by cutting a corner you will be expected to give it back. Failure to do so will warrant penalties.

Two wheels on the track at all times! (Includes kerbs)

At Eiger Im banking on you all crashing.. Because Im nice like that :D At Autumn Ring I will be happy with anything higher than 5th. And you can cut the across the kerbs quite a bit without being illegal, its because theyre so pointy, you dont really gain much time from it though tbh unless you cut it completely :)

Yeah you can legally 'trim' the corners off as long as 2 wheels are on the kerb/track so I would advise eveyone to use it wisely and not take the mick and start rallying over the grass :D

Aren't they allowed 4 wheels off the track 3 times in the race before they get penalties?

Probably something like that, but they all count the kerbs as just extended bits of track :D thats why its so exciting :)
