There is also a difference in online and offline, haven't tested it for a while but last time i did i went faster online, the physics are notably different, cant remember the difference but that could be whats causing it.
I don't mean to nit pick but i have never heard of the clocks being too fast online, it seems pretty unusual. Perhaps just to make sure you could run a stop watch on your phone or something. Just to make certain :)

Thats strange Pagey, its generally accepted that you are faster offline due to there being more grip. I did an experiment ages ago and discovered I was consistently 1 second faster at Laguna Seca offline than on. Longer tracks were obviously even more pronounced.
Game clocks are sometimes wrong a lot of people agree but unless you have the slow down/speed up it doesnt make a difference to your race position.
Me and Sandman are U2ing it in a min, you coming???

Thats how I noticed. I used my iPod and phone and then both started at the same time, and the GT5 clock lap thing would go faster each time as it was pretty much started at the 1 second but at the end of 2-3 minutes it was a few seconds ahead of my iPod and phone clocks
I thought it didnt look right.......

Brett- hmmm maybe im wrong then, there was a difference but i might have got it the wrong way round :D I will be on in 10

Andy- ahhh i see, thats pretty odd. What lap times were you getting at Fuji?

Huh???:dunce: Offline has always been a second or two faster in my book or so i thought this really could send a geezer mad!!

Because johnboy quoted my post about being faster online the off, after i had said i was wrong :D

Oh yeh, im too tired to be actually be reading what your all saying properly, which is why it probably didnt make sense :D

Yep my mistake didnt read further posts:dunce:
Right i deffo wont be there wendesday fellas gonna cool my accelerator for a while. Ive just spent 2 hours in my and my V8 co hosts lounge trying some V8s out we are in identical cars tyre damage etc all off basic as you can make it and im running on average 2 seconds a lap slower we tried Tokyo and Monza in each of our lounges results the same our talents are pretty similar so 2 seconds gap nearly every lap is frankly impossible such a shame:grumpy: Will be floating around keeping tabs on things hoping for a fix but for me right now its just way to random to be enjoyable.:ouch::sick:

I made the mistake of reading this very quickly, now my mouth has fallen off. Lol xD

To confuse you further John, I was driving the safeteycar for the IZOD indycar series today. 14 FGT's and a whole lot of settings (and me in my pace car)= 1 car had minor lag but no slow down/speed up/black screens....anything. As the septics say, go figure!

Its all doin me nut in Brett will keep pluggin away sure your race wendesday will be fine fella.:banghead::cheers:

I tested the Benz with the new specs at Fuji GT:
1:38 low-mid not very pleased though but I hope I wasn´t BUG-Effected ;)

I think all others go faster (278kph on the main straight) in Speed and Time though

I cant remember my times but I do remember coming a close second in a pracctice race driving the merc!
I know you dont like the new settings mate but give it your best shot and we will adjust afterwards 👍

EVERYONE- Shall we try tyre wear on or off this wed? Let me know what you think???

Brett, when you came second Pagey did sort of slow down on the last lap so you could have a race to the finish so it wasnt that close :D either that or he went off? And you couldnt get within a second of his time when you were the fastest guy in a Merc, which is quite a big gap :( But we'll see how the race goes I suppose. And John, was it you who had trouble with your pedals or something? I forget, there seems to be quite a few people with broken steering wheels/pedals lately. Its just that when I watched the replay of SSR5, your throttle was sometimes only going to 75% (on lap 1 and the lap after you left the pits) which is why those laps were slow and you were losing big time on the straight. Just a thought that crossed my mind, it could have been someone else :D

Also just read this
As the septics say
Thats not a very nice thing to call them Brett :D

Ok ill re phrase it to make the same point- I beat joe and spurgey
John has since admitted it was a hardware problem rather than 'the bug'

Yeh, I cant really disagree with that :grumpy: and has he? Was that on this thread, if it was its just another case of me not being bothered to read everything :D

Yep can confirm the potentiometers were on the way out hense the 75% throttle mate as you can imagine was sending me insane until i realised what it was:crazy: Logitech are on the case thankfully just hope they hurry up!
It was really last nights testing that bothered me the most its in my last post somewhere^.#1480
Setup a static ip this morning and my V8 times came down by the missing 2 seconds go figure?:indiff: The mystery continues Scooby Doo couldnt solve this one.:ouch:

Tyre wear on. It shouldnt effect the system, its simple data. I think damage makes it slower and bug more likey, but I haven't tested it yet with tyre wear on but I would of thought, that if everyone clears there cache, then tyre wear on would be no problem

Ok what about damage off and tyre wear on (I do like tyre wear to be a factor)?
Anyone disagree?

Ok, we will run tyre wear and damage off then.
Make sure everyone that can be wired is, caches cleared and mics switched off for the race (not just muted).

Little confused here. Want to start testing but not entirely convince the OP is up to date with new BHP / Weight / Turbos etc.

Can you confirm this please Brett!

Plus, are we starting the calendar from scratch, with Fuji?

Cheers mate.

OP is correct, I can confirm that we are running with tyre wear this week but with damage off (visual and actual).

All cars are subjected to 490 (or nearest) bhp and 1020kg minimum weight. Turbo selection is free and will remain so 👍

Top man.

Good work with pace duties on Friday as well. Should be an easier job this week.
