What shall we do about tyre wear?

Your a lucky guy john, I LOVE the Leon cupra and I could afford the actual car (second hand) just not the insurance :grumpy: I'm a 19 year old guy so you can imagine the quote I would get.

And cupra Knelly has a ring to it :lol:

Mate im 36 and its bad enough group 18 ouch!:scared::ouch:
 
Yeah must be pretty expensive, but im sure its worth it

Had a disaster of a day today, test drove a Civic Sport around my area and loved it. So i decided to go and buy one i found on the internet which was about a 70 minute drive away. Drove all the way there to find the car on the forecourt and it looked amazing, identical to the type R. But there was another guy there looking at it and he bought it 5 minutes after we arrived :grumpy: :ouch: :mad: :mad: :irked: 🤬 :crazy: :banghead:
Had to drive all the way back at rush hour in the pissing rain

:ouch: Have you looked on autotrader? Loads on there for 4k? Was the 1.6 sport 3 door around a 04-05 reg you wanted?

Yeah i have looked on autotrader, i find one, ring up the dealer to see if they still have it but they have always sold it, happened 3 times now :grumpy: seems like this car is in high demand.....either that or im jinxed

That one is very nice! Exactly the thing im looking for, but it doesnt say where it is, anywhere in the vicinity of Bath would be perfect

Pagey-Remember that it will be cheaper to pay a mechanic/someone who knows cars to come with you to a private sale than pay the dealers (+£1000) price for the same car. Checklists are available online too 👍

I was thinking, shall we keep this at 11 per division until the bug is fixed?

If anyone is free tonight I intend to run a few short races in the Enduro cars and the Touring cars too.

Spurgey- Ok ill keep it at 12 then, just a thought.

Yeah i was considering that, but the closest private one i have found is a 90 minute drive, i would be prepared to go that distance but my dad wouldn't be (he has to drive the car back due to insurance)
 
I dont think we need to cap it at 11 drivers, we dont have any bug problems in touring cars, just the odd bad connection here and there, and I doubt many people will want to join between now and the end of the season anyway.
 
Pagey-

A lot of people will meet you half way (or some of the way). You need to set them up to sell first though.
eg.
Pagey- Its a long way to come so can you please tell me the faults with the car?
Seller- Sure, I dont want you coming all this way to be disappointed, it has a loose door handle and the stereo doesnt work.
Pagey- Ok well if thats all I would like to see the vehicle, would you be willing to meet me somewhere to lessen the distance.
Seller- Ok, how about ........


Now you have him, dont talk money on the phone then when you arrive look round the car and be unimpressed. Cite the faults and offer him £££ under what he wants and work from there. Its an art form and hard to type what I am trying to say but it can save you lots of dollars 👍
 
Update On Lag

I just did a 14&15 person race. We had no lag. It was a random room and it was fine. No one was super quick or super slow. It happened twice and everything seemed in order. No lag, nothing bad. There was people for all over the world and yet it was fine :confused: Just thought i would tell you guys

There were no issues in last week's IndyCar and NASCAR races either, and the same goes for yesterday's Indycar race.

I have a 13-16 race for my league tomorrow, so I was worried it might be very "bug"y but from this I dont think it will be ..... hopefully :scared:

I think they have done something in the update, but only bits seeing as people are still getting the bug but it has been reduced if you like:tup:

I live in Cwmbran, the one I pointed out is 85 miles from me. Quite a few round Bristol area when you search. Cars seem cheaper over here in South Wales! I'll keep an eye for you. :dopey:

Ran the green hell tonight and happy to report the Cally and Merc seemed really equal in terms of performance. I cant comment on the Alfa because Pagey was driving it and slaughtered all of us. We will see how the next race goesbut I am happy we have 2 maybe 3 cars right 👍
 
Yesterday was ok.
I made some mistakes on the GP course => had some seconds added to pagey.
And at Lap two at the beginning of Nordschleife I got DC´d and had 15.8 or 16.2 seconds gap to Pagey and Spurgy (Spurgy was 7seconds behind Pagey ??).

But the GT500 Race after was soo superb (atleast till someone couldn´t handle my pressure and light-actions) :D
I kept the replay because it was so nice (sweaty ? cause I was :D).
But at Spa you won => small mistake was forgotten :D
BtW: Spa was a nice race too despite my action against Ellis.
Sorry for that lost my temper which I normally not loose.
 
I enjoyed all the races except the one whjere I finished dead last by 30 seconds :banghead:
GT500 NSX's and LMS cars are now among my new favourite motors on here bring on the endurance races!
 
Only LMP I like is the Peugeot 905. All others suffer from snap oversteer because the Monster-Turbo kicks in (and I can´t get rid of it through tuning).

All GT500 Cars are superb espacially the YellowHat GTR.
1:15.171 at Madrid seasonal with Racing softs and High-RPM Turbo
 
I like all the LMP's I have driven I agree the R8 I was in last night suffered from the snap oversteer though, caught me out a few times :(

Why did you pick the YH GTR at NB24hr then? :lol:
 
Because I like the GT500 GTR´s :D
And I just did a little tweak (due to HP-limit and weight limit) and it was superb.
Even Ellis couldn´t draft me at Döttinger Höhe (topped out ??) :D
With the weight limit you set I could run my prefered weight ratio: 49/51.
 
How many GT500 GTR's are there (different livery), I might use them for a future event.
It was the first race car I bought on GT5 :D
 
So one more than the NSX's.
Good to know, ill be racing them again tonight along with the 90's TC's at some point if you are about 👍

I am opening my lounge at 730pm for the following short races.
LMP racing
90's DTM
Supercars
GT500
Finishing with dirty PRIUS and then dirty NASCAR at SSRX
