Hi jimeez:
:D My "Eagle Eyed Pardner" spotted something odd in your T-Times. Any chance you're running Smokey Mountain "Forward"??? Your T-Times should look something like (7.530 / 23.849 / 42.386) [Thanks LDM I was too lazy to look up my own splits!]...UB57
:D

:O :O :O Yep I am running the wrong way :O :O :O

DOHH!!!

Told UB that was something I would do:lol:

phattboy

Kick butt setup for this track by the way!

Looks like Jim knew he could beat us all no probs with his eyes shut :D ... ...and forgot to open them again :p

ojk man 👍 ....... I hate it when that happens :irked:

sorry ronaldo. spending any racing time this week running arcade tracks for MLG philly event. will definitely get a time for this one next week though. might even squeeze in a fair run this week. thanks for letting me know this was going on though. appreciate it mate 👍

Jimeez setup is wwwaaaayyyy better than phattboys for anyone who is interested!!!

I taxied out AIR-OPEL tonight and with jimeez settings twisted out a 7.489/23.705/42.029/blew the last corner but still went up the street for a 1'06.837 :D

Not nearly so well on the stock side though. At 1'18.688 (8.596/28.082/50.084)... I think I have to work a little harder on the Ground-Control version ;)

Thanks for your very thorough answer, phattboy. :)
Guess it'll leave me with even more things to keep an close eye on during my laps.
Anyway I've found out the last couple of weeks that one thing is the car is getting quicker or better handling, when I'm lucky enough to do something right. But another and equally important thing is, that my focus on the car and the track also increases, when I try to determine which settings are the best. And especially on dirt I sometimes have problems to determine if it's me or the car, who is improving.

If I ever get to leave work, I'll run this warm up.

Wow, getting a clean lap with this car is very hard! Brakes don't work to well when your in the air.:grumpy: I did manage to get in a clean run in the 375hp Opel. 1'07.046 I may come back for more but I need the sponsors to send me a days worth of production because I'm wrecking so many cars.

This Car is verry delicate to drive :odd:
My current time : 1.10.123 ( with 363 PS )

That it is Werner!!! Specially in the higher HP version;)

Took the evening off from the weekly to do some rallying.
This time I tried jimenez settings (except gears), and followed phattboys advice and experimented wildly on the LSD- settings. ;)
It seems to me that the high LSD settings makes the car much more forgiven and steady. While the low ones make it turn and react quicker. Is that right?
On my best clean one I was in the middle at 33/33/33.
I ended with a:
1'08.895 (07.858 25.412 44.130) @ 375 :)

:D "Howdy Y'All" 👍
Sorry I haven't been around this week, unseasonable weather here (65-70 degrees) so have been out in the Yard building a new fence.

Thought it would take at least 1/2 hour or so to get back in the "Swim" of things but on the 5th Lap cut a:
1'17.314 w/190HP Version

Still using my old Ms Clio Set-up, will have to try Mr P's & jimeez before I run outta time.

Think I'll give "Air-Opel" a quick shot as well...UB57 :D

That is pretty much the way it is with the LSD. If you really want to see the difference try experimenting with the settings on a street track. High setting and the car doesn't turn. low settings and the car will turn easily.
In the dirt with high Hp cars I run high numbers on the LSD, this is to lock up the rearend so the tires pull together so the theory goes. When the numbers are low its like unlocking the rearend. The tires will not pull together. the car turns easier.

I have an update on my time in the full mod car:
1:05.810 (7.749/24.142/42.047)

Yeh, Right! :odd:
:D Two + Hours & about 35 Laps of fiddlin' (including trying both Mr P's & jimeez' Set-ups) has finally yielded a:

1'06.816 w/375HP

Can't believe it took so long w/an extra 8hp to beat my old time by less than ONE Second!...UB57 :D

Come on UB, only thirty five laps??? 2+ hours??? Think of it as one of your famous enduro's:D :D :D

It was thirty five laps of pure pleasure!!! You should say it like this:

WOW!!! In less than three hours I improved my old time by over 1/2 second!!! And I only had 8 extra HP to boot!!! :D
