AHA. Tomorrow I'll go look for the shortcut.
EDIT: 30 min. morning session before work, got it down to:
1'17.846 (08.327-27.949-49.348) And now even more perfect.

I already looked for the shortcut... couldn't find it... if you do, sneak me a PM and let me know where it is. Will send money
On the other hand (and maybe you already know this), your T-times tell me you are getting into sector 1 really fast. However, there is a loss in your t-times by about 1.2 seconds overall in sector 2 and sector 3 compared to Mr P's time. Additionally, even more can be gained in those sectors if you look at GT3mich's sector times.
Maybe this will help... My problem in those areas almost all boils down to three areas:
Problem area 1) I would overshoot entering the first bend at the end of the straight. I would make the jump and turn at ever so slightly the wrong angle causing the car to either swing the butt out or the entire car to swing way wide (almost to the wall). The subsequent loss in momentum cannot be picked back up.
I believe this is what Mr. P was talking about in Post 78 when he said, "a very frustrating repetitive bend 1 scenario took my drive away..." (Correct me if I am wrong Mr. P) He was trying to get that corner just right because with the 190HP car, the entire rest of the race depends on maintaining the momentum at that corner. (Whoever wins this race in the end I suspect will have to admit that what set up their run was a lucky hit on the "sweet" spot on the first corner and finding the line through the last corner to go up the street to the finishline.)
Problem area 2) Right after the first turn, you go around the bend to the right under the overhead. Then, coming out of there you make a left, slight right, gentle left and then to the right as you go down the rise. It is awful easy to not get that series quite right. For me it all boils down to exiting the corner to the right as you go down the little rise headed to the exit of t-2 into t-3. If you overshoot there, there is a big loss of momentum. If you come out of that corner pointed almost directly at the "V" and haven't swung the butt of the car much through that series of turns, you nail t-2 in the low 27.xxx.
Problem area 3) In sector 3 you exit the "V" come down the long hill past the outcrop(slight left) then make the transition to the right then left exiting sector 3 and over the hill to the last corner. I kept overshooting the transition to that right hander resulting in a big momentum loss up that little hill and back to the left shooting my t-3 time down to 49.xxx.
Ultimately, these were the areas I've been working on and have gotten to the point where my last sector is down there with GT3mich at a 47.9xx almost regularly only to blow the last corner where you transition from dirt to tarmac. Mr. P has that corner nailed and for the life of me, I cannot find that line so I got frustrated with it and walked away for awhile. I think, in retrospect, having a t-3 time lower than 48.1xx might mean you are traveling too fast to actually set up the last corner properly. If that is true, then Mr. P might actually have about as fast a time as can be had.
Judging by the last couple of posts here between Mr. P and GT3mich, that is where GT3mich's next work is going to be as well.
Hope this helps whoever might be struggling...
