Tell me about it I hate when I'm on a great lap and then then do there random Sxxt and mess your lap up ahhhhh
One way to keep then in check is to keep a sharp out for your (6) rear view mirror as you can in most cases know when there are coming to get you by the way they accelerate to “warp speeds" all of a sudden.

I'm searching for some kind of consensus on the best (wheel) setup for the Chaparral 2J for the current game physics. However I tune it, I seem to be plagued by the front tires turning yellow or red. What am I missing?

Any clues, tips or setups that address chronic understeer in the 2J would be very gratefully appreciated.

I don't have a mirror in my racing view lol I'm using bonnet view

The Mazda Furai '08 is good to use, it is not the quickest car but it does the job :).

My first choice was a @praiano63 -tuned TS030. Twitchy, but did the job with a pass for 1st under braking at the end of Doettinger-Hohe. Switched to the Nissan Zytek Z11SN with a tune by @shaunm80 .... what a sweet drive. An easy win, not twitchy at all, smooth and planted, caught up to the leaders coming out of the Caroussel.
Beautiful tune!

Thanks for trying out this tune. Glad that it helped you out in this event. :)

I am the same with you about the TS030 I am also in no rush to drive that car again, my 2 runs with this car I had trouble with the AI and making to many mistakes trying to get past them, I guess the TS030 is only good for TTs I think.

Had some problems getting gold with some other cars and tunes yesterday. Did about 2-3 races and just managed to get silver. Then I decided to look in my garage for one of the TS030 Hybrid '12 to see what I had or maybe to buy a new one to apply Andromeda's tune to it.

And then I found one of the TS030 Hybrid '12 with one of your tunes I had from some time ago and said to myself... Self, why not give it a shot. And off I went. That car with your tune raced like a beast boy. Perfect handling and speed. Easily beat out all contenders in the line up for gold. Can't remember which line up though.
Just wanted you to know.

FYI,

This same field of AI cars can be found at the following Career Mode events:

- International A 15-Minute Race, Nurburgring (3 dry laps)
- Super events Apricot Hill 20-Minute Challenge (tire wear here potentially can give clues as to setup problems)

Also, it's interesting (at least for me) to learn what the B-Spec driver can do with my 600pp car. He wins a close fight against the McLaren F1 GTR Race Cars!

Came back to Gran Turismo for the Holidays for old times sake. After playing Assetto Corsa nearly all year, with barely any GT6 time in between, I felt the GT steering sensitivity was far too low! Assetto Corsa still feels too sensitive to me, but I've gotten used to it none the less. So I turned my controller steering sensitivity setting all the way to the max, which is level 7. Still not as sensitive as AC, but it helped get me back to grips better. I found that GT is still fun, and I am still relatively fast!

I've been trying to win 1st with the Apline VGT, but since I'm still kind of adjusting to GT controls again, I've only managed a very close 2nd. I may give it a try in the Mclaren F1 GTR since I LOVE that car so much, but the Alpine has proven to be incredibly entertaining as well, more so than I remember.

The AI really drive like a bunch of grannies, at least until you get up towards the front. Then it starts to feel like there's some pressure.

Remember guys, full downforce, a gearbox final drive that is set close to or a bit over 200mph, and a slightly softer springrate all help greatly at the ring! The rest is just being confident on the track.

The old Camaro Z28 Race Car '69 did the job again. Not an easy win but a fun race!

I know some of you guys love some challenges. Here's one for you:
Took the Alpha Romeo TZ2 for fun. Did two small mistakes, wasn't trying to push it all race long and finished second.
Finished 12 seconds behind the BMW McLaren. Downforce at maximum front and rear and adding engine parts were the only thing I did. Wasn't close enough to get some slipstream in the longest straight.

I believe that this car, with the right tune and drive by a good driver can win!
Good luck :)

Made a minor change to TRL ANDROMEDA tune for TS030 ( transmission) managed to post a time of 6'56'200.

OK, so I like the TS030 tune and track so much that I gave it a few hours. Would you believe that I ran 9 consecutive 6:51's? Of course, there were many failed attempts between them, but each time it was the same old 6:51. After running it so much I found that there were times the trans seemed to be letting me down. Would you mind sharing your changes?

First off..... I HATE this car! Seems like it wants to turn in too quick at times, and sometimes it pushes too much. Must be my tune? And don't look at the front of the car in the picture below.... I goofed (purposely:lol:) a few times and used my front bumper as a braking assist! In the hands of a good driver with a tune better than mine, the GTI VGT will probably surprise you with how fast it can run this event.
