Awesome Time! Can I have the setting please.. TQ!

You know, sometimes I think my times are pretty good, then Cory and Hall get a hold of them and I'm all like...

meh.jpg

I'll get you the tune the next time I turn GT on.

Congrats. Would you be so kind as to share your tune? Would love to try.
First I left a lot of seconds at the Nurburgring with this tune as I never got to use 6 gear and it cost me big time. It was my first try for this race with the HSV and never had time to work the Transmission issues. The sad part is that you can win with RS rubber as in the real world you would not make it to the first corner let alone make the turn.

I think I accidentally sent this Lotus Elise to Subaru for Tuning; and they installed STi-Spec 4WD Axles to it :)

I used the Toyota, since it was already pretty close. Added taller final ratio, 3:25, rear downforce, changed rear camber to 1.0 from 3.0 and shocks changed to 3/7 comp and 7/4 ext.

One lap and done, 8:21 total time on proper full wets for allegedly 100% wet conditions.

OK, I think I'm done.

You'll only see 146 mph on the big straight, and the tune is a bit loose because I lowered the DF to get a bit more top speed with the gearing/power/ballast I was using. If you change the rear DF back to 450, add a little more weight (90KG), and some more power, it'll behave much better.

You should not be able to win with racing soft tires with 100% rain. GT6 still has some work to do in that regard.

Thanks for the HSV tune. Will give it a shot soon. As for tyres, I've been going with Racing Intermediate for this rain one. Been handling very good with those tyres so far.
This particular race on this track with rain included has been proving to be quite an interesting/exciting race in my opinion.
The odd thing is I never like the Nurbring before as it proved to be too difficult for me before but I can handle it much better now especially with my new wheel. Cheers.

I have driven at the Nurburgring and it is not easy to learn 157 corners. If you really want to learn this track I would recommend the DVD “In Car 956” with Derek Bell.

I will do it first thing in the morning I'm on my way out the door to go to a play

I discovered I did not have the race rs200, only the road car, so I blew the $1.4m on that. Oil change, Heavy Wet Tires, Stage 3 Engine tune. max ballast, left weight distro 50/50. Dialed back power to make 500. I get in the pre-race and dial down traction control and I notice SRF!!?!?!?! So the easy seasonals continue. Nice prize car though.

I'm a not-extremely-fast sixaxis user and I did this on the second lap. (Although I did grind the 'ring in GT5 for XP with a 650pp race)

I finally won with an RS200 using my own sloppy tune. INTERS were much better than full sets.

Then I pulled up the Alfa 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 and can pretty much clean up the field with 10-20second wins routine. I'm grinding cash with the Alfa. Hate the 'Ring, but definitely a challenge that doesn't get old!

Others I tried:
Megane trophy '11: dang fast but quick to spin if your throttle control is poor.
Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring car: stuck well but no pace
Peugot 206 Rally Car: might have worked for me in a weak field of cars.

Gonna try later with some Front Wheel Drive cars and see what happens.

Thanks for all the tunes everyone! It really helps marginal drivers like me.

wow amazing time in the 111R Lotus man/person/driver. Do you get better traction with heavy wets rather than intermediate? Anyway I dropped 1.25 mill on the alpha Romeo 155 2.5 least I get gold in it 2.97 power to weight ratio which is lower than the lotus 111R at 3.10 I think it was anyway close oh but I added 91 kg to the 111R and put -50 for better weight distribution was not my ideah though. anyone manage a 8 minute in the 155? 175 mph on the back 9 that's amazing for a 500pp 180 must be a record 500pp speed. well I have said much hope it made sense.

PS anyone else use the alpha Romeo 155? oh ok RxLaMont yeah I use intermediates to

Sorry I must add got a setup for the zagato? 10 mill! . how would a gt40 mk iv do?

well for me the ZAGATO was a 10 mill mistake I don't have as good of a pace and topped only 152 on the back 9 and I did find a tune for it. live and learn. the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 is great.

Easy win against a similar lineup, 155 in front. Actually caught and passed the 155 at the carousel. Very nice tune. I am not even close to your times, but I do run SRF off.

Thanks again for the setup, I reused a car that already had an oil change, so the HP was tiny smaller and the torque was a bit higher. The trans would not quite match up because of that, but it was close enough. Good times.

Also, used the RS tires. I tried some CS tires on different cars in this event and the RS are superior.

My times are based on the fact that I drive like a complete maniac until I'm ahead of the lead car, then I chill out and drive smooth the rest of the way. If I make any mistake at all before I get ahead of the lead car, I start over. It's exhausting, and harrowing at times, but it's the way I've always done it. If I drove the second half of the track like I drive the first half, I'd never finish the race, as I simply can't keep up that level of stress.

This can be improved apon greatly, but it's a gold as is.
As far as the GT40 mk IV, I don't have wet settings for that one, sorry.
The Zagato, however, is worth buying, if for nothing else then these 500pp race car seasonal races. 90% of good cars you need to power down way too much for 500pp, the 'Carrot' likes 550pp the most. The Ferrari antique racers are good too, but sometimes are just 'too' easy to win with. The Zag is fun.

A few cars I've tried so far...... all won against various A.I.'s
Most of them new and un-tuned. I.M tyres.

Lancia Delta S4 (Perfect for this event)
Lexus IS350 GT300 (Great Handling)
Renault Megane Trophy (Very quick and easy drive)
Ford Focus (Slow on final straight)
Ferrari 330 P4 (Very quick but tricky handling)
Lotus Ellise 111R (Slow on final straight)
Honda NSX Stealth (Good neutral car)
Ford RS200 (Perfect for this event)
Alfa 155 2.5V (Quickest car so far)
Weds Sport Lexus IS350 (Great handling)
Superautobacs Apex (Tricky handling)
Mitsubishi CZ Tarmac (Underpowered)
Lancia Stratos (Most fun but needs proper tune)
Renault Clio V6 Trophy (Very powerful and great handling)
Arta Garaiya 03 (Underpowered)
Was trying with the Stratos rally 77, but still struggling. Would u mind sharing your tune for the car pls? Thx!

It's stressful even for UltimateLurker. it is nice to finally get the lead no more driving not seeing 50 feet in front of me behind cars I don't like that.

now I need to win back 7 mill that's ok.

Surprised nobody has used the Toyota RSC. Maybe because it handles so well it feels like the track isn't wet?

I think I had a 40 second margin. lol

Actually, Cappucino's not bad..
U'll be surprised of how many bends u can Full Throttle with this Supercino :)
Gearing power is perfect; 160kmph-180kmph perfectly suit most bends in here.
Need to ask PD what brand is this RS Tyre, so perfect for Wet Race.
