Just had a quick go at this but sometimes you can get some really cool results with motion blur and light.

Sometimes it works really well, sometimes it goes horribly wrong :P

Anyone else got any more? :)

Very intriguing shots. Particualy the last one. I like it when people push the boundries of what is possible.

Excellent work! Nice to see someone doing something a bit different.

Yeah I'm interested in which shutter speed was used too. I was able to set it as low as 1/1 before, but since then I haven't been able to go slower than 1/60th. Was it a glitch or am I missing something?

You can only go below 1/60 in Photo Travel.

Yeah I used a few of the "longest" shutter speeds 1/60, 1/125 etc... also to get similar effects try auto focusing on different parts of the scenery, not just the car.

I was a little disapointed that they have not realistically simulated streaking, perhaps more likely they were not able to.

As nice as it would be to use the slower Photo Travel shutter speeds in Photo Mode, with the engine as it is, the stepping effect would look even worse. Still, looks like it means we can get some nice unusual effects.

I like the Veyron shots, will have to try out some wide angles like that.

I was going to start my own thread but I think these pics belong here: I basically took my Cobra up to 230 mph on Sarthe and then played with the camera. Other than the noise I think I got some pretty neat results.

I ran backwards round ss7 in same make race, then paused when the two cars pass. Set camera to focus on the car going the other way in panning 3, then pointed it at my car at the slowest shutter speed and messed around from there. Just to the left of the Audi is a Zonda R travelling 180 mph away from the camera, in perfect focus

The F1 sort of ruins it, but the rest felt like a painting to me, so I kept it.

So abstract means blurry photos? I miss the GT4 locations:(. I had some really nice abstract B&W pics of a White on White R34 @ the Japanese mountain location...:(

Abstract means that something is there, but it's difficult to make out?
And the easiest way of doing it in GT5 is blurring the photos I guess.

To me "abstract" can also have a little bit of mystery to it, for example...

Anyone want to take a guess at the car ?

I didn't think it be as recognizable, but yes its a GTR. I went out for a few laps at Sarthe to get some night shots and had the idea for that photo

Took some others as well

Either the tires started wearing or I had tunnel vision like mad, ending up sliding it through a sandpit towards the end
