What I know:

- There are only 3 Admins, but 26 Super Mods and 16 Mods Emeritus.
- Different badges.
- Admins would obviously have more control than the Mods.
- If you mess with either of them...:ouch:

Any other differences?:dopey:

I asked this a while ago.

The admins have similar powers to the almighty Jordan as in the layout of the forum etc. superMods have mod powers throughout the forum. Mods have mod powers in 1 section and staff emertius are retired staff.

Add to that immortality!

From what I know, Mods can be banned for some reasons, possibly by either the Admins or the one and only himself:nervous:

Another thing I'm wondering is whether Emeritus status is changed by the Mods themselves or the Admins.

Moderator - Someone who can lock, unlock, delete, move and merge threads in a particular forum or set of forums.
Moderator Emeritus - A mod who is no longer a mod (or on a break from being a mod) for whatever reason. Still has access to the super secret moderator forum.
Super-moderator - A "global" moderator. They can also issue warnings, infractions and bans (or unissue them).
Administrator - A super-moderator with a few extra options for banning and thread/post/forum management

The site-owner is a "super-administrator" - with the same sort of administrator powers, but more in-depth and with ultimate database control.

... the super secret moderator forum.

You just downgraded it to "Secret" now :p

Secret - The one you know exists but don't know where

Super Secret - The one you don't even know exists, and even less where

Super-Top-Hyper-Secret - This one doesn't exist ... errr ... no, really, it doesn't! :D

Do Emeritus Mods still have Mod powers, or do they only have the power to view super secret forum?

They have viewing powers and are an extra set of eyes to give the staff a heads up when they come across something that is, or could go, horribly, horribly wrong.

I'm intrigued about this secret mod forum now. I had no idea it existed. Is there an 'I found an interesting thread talking about interesting threads' thread there?

How quickly we forget:
Is it true you guys really have wild party's in the super secret mod forum...be honest!?
[TB:] Oh, god, you hav[CENSORED BY SCEA]

I'm pretty sure you guys have that covered for us and everyone knows how much we like redundant threads. :D

There is a forum hosted in the Isles of Scilly, which contains discussion purely about forum staff and administrators, only farm hands may access it and change the background colours. It is not known how or why it was created, but using the Freedom of Information act in the UK I was notified that members of GTP are listed, each given a code sign named after farm yard animals. The site owner "Old McDonald", uses a random serial key with which give encrypted orders around the globe to various forum staff including GTP. The hacking group Anonymous has revealed a working key (but an old one) as EIEIO.

Fox News.

Thanks for the overview Famine:tup:, as a forum noob and likely to always stay that way I've always wondered what the differences were.

@ TB nice addition to your avatar mate. 👍

Cheers Shaun.
