But as I've said before, everyone gets into cars and/or racing somehow. It's like football sometimes. You're into it once, you're into it for life.

As far as a "theory" goes, check this.

Now, I'm very sure that if a person watches "Initial D" or "Fast and Furious," to me, that's the start of someone getting into cars. Even if the action is horrible to some people, if a person gets into the automobile business, that's just how they get into it. On the other hand, if a person got into cars differentely but found interest in an out-of-the-ordinary type of driving or racing, then the interest of cars will transfer into the interest of cars while (insert driving style here). And I mean, that's fine if you get into "Initial D" and think you can win the GT World Championship in the Pro leauge. All I was saying was (in response to Viper Zero), basically, the License Tests are there for a reason. I mean, you can't NFS, RUSH, or even GameShark through Gran Tueismo racing. Even if you know how to drive, you can always do better. You can always learn how to race a track better. So do the license tests and don't hit the track until you learned and mastered each concept. I'm sure Luggnuts is a good road racer in GT, pending his playing of the other GT games. So I think he can get the job done with the licenses. But in case anyone happens to be a "noob," license tests FIRST AND FOREMOST. If you learn the tactics, you'll do fine no matter what. The rest is up to you and you alone.

While the AE86 was never going to light the world on fire with its performance or looks, doesn't mean it isn't a good car. It's a fun first car.

The handling and interaction with the driver are sharp and unassisted, the cost is low (especially with that unburstable engine), and you can genuinely have fun in it. For a first car, in reality, you could do much worse.

Not to mention that in the world of drifting, it is one of the most "fun" cars.

On the topic of the coupe's. They might make it in. Much lamer cars have made it into digital form for GT4, like the Nissan EXA canopy, and the Ford Taurus (quite possibly two of the ugliest, crappest cars ever made).

I'm expecting to drive my own car in GT4 (pug 205 gti), so i don't see why others should be excluded from the fantasy.

Well Cubits, I don't know how to tell you. Either it is because a person thinks they know how to win races by screwing up and being roughneck, or a person thinks that racing in the media is better than racing in real life. If you ask me, I have a more "professional" view of it. For example, when a girl begins to grow up, she understands boys and sex. So to start, she gets to meet some young men her age. If she finds someone she likes, that girl will most likely have a boyfriend (countless cuties I known told me that before. DAMN I can't score at all!). If it comes time to learn about sex education, she learns all she and her partner will have to do in order to stay safe and be protected. What my example shows is that you have to welcome such fascinations. So a "kid" into drifting will like that car. But as that person is exposed to a world of cars, that interest won't shift into respect, it will evolve into respect. Hell, I thought those fast-looking tuner cars were actually race cars for the street (I'm not knocking tuner cars). But until I kind of gotten deep into the car culture, I've grown to love it for what it is. And look at me now. Car lover, racing lover, and most importantly, ENTHUSIAST.

So think of getting into the fantasy world of racing as a good thing. All that has to be done is have a growing interest for it. I mean, that's my view. Comment if you will.

With that "You can OWN people with your AE86 as you can photograph it with a USB printer" deal, I just wanted to make Luggnuts get more jacked about GT4. Most of us enthusiasts probably know that an AE86 is old and outdated and can't compare to the sports cars of today. However, Lugg likes the AE86, and damn it, thanks to Kazunori-san and Polyphony Digital (PD), Lugg will get his AE86 in GT4. And Lugg is coming online with his special machine, so watch out!

Just wanted to psych you up, Luggnuts. GT4 is about having fun, so get ready for it, alright?

A car's a car, there are a lot worse one's making an appearance. There are some great cars that will be bastardised because of their appearances in mainstream movies too.

Look at it this way: these people's money contributes to making your gaming experience better. They may annoy us from time to time but they pick up a part of the hefty tab for games like GT4 and keep the company behind the game, the network, the hardware, the works, happily in business cutting prices and producing new things.
