Yeah, I played it through on normal then went straight for UB and have had more fun. Don't get me wrong, I was one of the few who could look past some of the issues and enjoyed the game for what it was.

I think it'll be difficult to go back after Alien: Isolation though - unless I want some shoot-the-hell-out-of-some-aliens therapy part way through :)

I'll be getting Alien Isolation when it's cheaper :) I really like the music in Aliens CM, I also tried to lower the sound effects by 5 click, then crank the volume on my AVR even higher, and I can hear the finest musical details, with loud gunfire , screaming marines and the bass, even my foot steps giving deep thud. It's like Michael Bay movie  Must be the total opposite to the Isolation.

I saw screen shots of Isolation from PS4 on the Isolation thread, it appears quite bright ( in game raw capture ) :) I would set the mood darker when I play.

I also should state that I play with darkened room with the settings ( similar to movie theater )

Yup

You can alter the ambient darkness at the game start: slide the bar left until the logo is barely visible type of thing, which most folks don't do. I did...

I also did the barely visible logo on the Aliens Colonial Marines, the tv brightness at 34 is about 4 click lower than the lowest value of barely visible logo ( little loss on less than black details, but the xenos looks more like in the movie ).
I tried again on my last play with 38 on the tv ( just barely visible ) with 4 clicks lower in game slider than default - one click higher than it used to be - both looks great. This gives slightly brighter lighting on the skin of human NPC ( use flashlight ) and on the main menu cinematic ( end part where the marines are waiting on the airlock ), while 5 click lower has softer contrast overall. I also played coop offline with my little brother :D So much fun, we died several times on mission 1 , was on ultimate bad ass ( no HUD ) and we kept accidentally shooting each other when the xenos were swarming at us  I must have had the most friendly fire ever in a game  and my team mate using the flamethrower from Ripley's Rifle didn't help much ( toasted me instead ) nor his penchant for lobbing grenade at the most unfortunate times, caught me in the blast zone. I shot him in the back several times with my shotgun when he kept blocking my view, all gungho at close range trying to steal my kill  The most idiotic bad ass Marines :p The cargo bay run to the control room was fun too, the xenos were unpredictable there, often jumped from above, the ledge and running around from behind :D
