Yes I saw them. Can you find anything better? They were a little dark. The pictures were both of the same car. Let me know.

Can someone please please please put a transperency on my current avatar?

So theres no confusion, it's the one with the blue "fake design" car and "GC$tlye" under it.

I am wanting to make an avatar. Does anybody use ImageReady 3 to make their avatars? I want to make one like this one but I dont know how:

Can anyone tell me if and how i can put transperecies on avatars? :(

Ok, here's the jist of it.

  1. Make sure that your background is "Transparent". You'll know that it is if your background is checkerboard with white and light grey squares. Check into "Canvus" settings for color options.
  2. At this point, it's up to the graphic which will determine if you have any transparencies that will show through. Example: If you use the wand to select part of the picture and delete the selected portion, the part that got deleted will be transparent.
  3. Now that you have your masterpiece, it's time to save. Choose the "Save for web" option under the file menu.
  4. Next, you'll notice a file type where you can set it to jpg or gif... Please note: Transparencies only work for GIF's so choose your file type wisely.
  5. Make any additional options to your export parameters and save the file.
    [/list=1]

If all goes well, your newly created gif will have a transparent background.

    Hope this helps,

The canvas is the background on the screen. When you choose New and then pick the size then a box appears with the demisions you picked, then look inside the box on the screen and thats your canvas.

Goto your help and lookup "Canvas" as a keyword search in PS7...

There should be some info there...
