Maaaaaaaaaaaan, I can't believe this! After countless battles under FULL management and best result being 4th on the squared oval Bob has just pulled half a lap out of the competition, as I type I'm only on lap 5!!!
Downforce is the trick, as mentioned below, plus a brake setup 1-0 seems to work brilliantly.
(Oh yeah, I am speaking of a RM and fully tuned ZR1)
To the question below: max downforce increases your drag and, especially on ovals, helps the competition by offering more slip stream. But (seeing Bob pushing to 3/4 lap lead now in lap 8) it seems the sheer power of the corvette compensates. And by now the others dont get any slip anymore anyways
Edit: K, bob lost a bit of his lead towards the end as the competition teamed up to some streaming packs, but I lapped 4 cars. How cool! Lesson learnt anyways: I won't be too lazy to look into setting the cars up again! And thanks here to all that have helped me find the right cars and ways!
Maybe it helps someone as a reference: Bobs best lap was 48.853
