Just started testing today for it, it looks like an even 2:00 is a good time for GT. 59's are certainly possible.

Yeah I noticed that. I can't zoom in enough to see the drivers names though....
 
Yeah, the Viper will actually do good in this series. It's officially on the ALMS roster this year. If we do allow it, it should be the Viper SRT10, not the ACR. Use the car it's based off of, or closest to it.
 
I guess we can test the Viper out and see how it'll run with the others. Of course, someone would have to take the role(s) of homologating it.

I'm pretty sure the host is supposed to help. :p

Gatrs took the task of homologating, slaving over a G27.

Well, the regulars seem to know how this series go by now so it wouldn't be necessary for me to have a significant part in the homologation process, other than the finalization and all that jazz.

Did you ever get a chance to drive the Aston? Was wondering what your thoughts on it were. I didnt know the Viper was being run this year, hmm i could help test that.
 
We already have a spec for the ACR I believe.
I remember driving with Potatohead at TGTT many moons ago.

EDIT: By the way, did anyone obtain the specs for the Aston Martin?

EDIT 2: Also, make sure you guys view the Drivers Roster from time to time to make sure everything's right. We don't want to have invalid fields once Season begins.

Agree with Gatrs. Last season the Viper killed the other cars. I don't think it needs a weight reduction.

Ive posted them a few times before, but because im the only one who tested with it im not sure how accurate it will be. But with 550hp and 1362kg it seemed to be about even with the competition.

How did it perform? I think in Indy you reported drastic tire wear at the front?

I was hanging with That Guy on fresh tires, so i know its competitive. But yeah the tire life isnt all that great, i havent worked with it a ton to see if i can work around it. If i wasnt in school id probably work on it more, but oh well.

I probably won't make it because my internet is being shoddy right now and I'm going to First Friday in St. Pete. But I'll try really hard to be there for the season opener.
 
I try to reduce tire wear by decreasing brake sensitivity for the front, and less camber. That may help. But it is kind of front heavy. Maybe try a tune from the M3 for the Aston. See how that goes. The Viper should be a good car. If we use the regular SRT10 and not the ACR it might be more fair?
 
The true tire savers or the persons with wheels!
Or can be better expressed, people with wheels can control the cars on shot tires better with faster lap times I hear, since i don't have a wheel,.....YET!

Let's see how those specs (480/1300) fair on Friday then we'll make a decision.

Yeah i was using the front brakes at 2, because when it was set at 5 and you brake for a corner you can hear the tires much louder than with any other car ive driven for this series. On certain corners the outside tire would always go red causing excessive wear. Even with the ballast all the way to the rear, brakes turned down and using a softer spring/roll bar in front it still does it. Maybe it needs to go even softer in the front, thats the only thing else i can think of doing.

Ill do some practice with that and try the Viper as well, but my plan is to use the Vette tomorrow.
