That looks terrible on the McLaren (tired it on one of mine) but I do have a white one with gold chrome rims that looks pretty sweet (West style).

I haven't seen gatrs post in this for ages, seems he's ditched this series because of his PS3 going kaput. Chronic PITA but it looks like he's more focused on setting up a GTP governing body instead of governing his currently running series...

Sugarglider got suspended for 3 races at Laguna Seca, Sparty didn't join until the Nurburgring 24H track :)

Ey, Mitch, what happened to the Red Bull/ACO series? You opened one like a month ago but never updated it..

EDIT: Took the BMW M3 GTR Race car to 4hrs Nurburgring, but I retired at 5 1/4 laps, as the car was way too easy to handle w/ even racing hards..
 
Yeah, Saturdays just aren't a day where a series will happen and it's no wonder as people would usually be going out or doing something other than gaming on a Saturday night (Sunday morning for me). Not too keen on running another series anyway, too many whingers and too many people who can't handle rules and penalties....

A mid-week GT series has been on my mind but I'm unsure of numbers. It would be a good use of that car list I came up with.
 
I'm gonna do it in a slightly tuned SLS AMG on Sports mediums

Hey guys I've been throwing around a few series ideas I'd like to potentially host. One I'm super keen on is the idea of Killer B rally racing. Some cars I've been banging around in my head for it (don't pay attention to the multiple celicas I just didn't know which to use):

For Killer B potential series (extremely tentative):

I'd need help with the rally series as it would require homolgation which I've never done. Would like to mimic actual regs though.
 
TT13, dude I've got no idea about rally regs so I'd be useless to you not only with that but also racing on dirt....

Huh? Why don't we just use group B rally cars? There's plenty of them
 
BTW, if I do decide to run with the GT series during the week are there any suggested cars for the series other than:

GM Corvette ZR1
Ferrari F458
Ford GT
Dodge Viper ACR
Lotus Esprit V8
Audi R8 4.2
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4
McLaren F1
Nissan R390
Lamborghini Murcielago SV
Alfa Romeo 8C

Must weigh under 1300kg fully lightened and able to make half its weight in power (e.g. 1000kg = 500hp), preferably premium and must have downforce, ideas?


Also, anyone got a gold chrome they can send me? I'll fire over a car or some suits in return 👍

Don't have one. You can ask around the Marketplace, but you'll have to offer a bit more valuable items if you want to gauge in a trade..

EDIT: A 1:27:6xx in Trial Mt. w/ Ford GT (went a bit wide on the corner before the tunnel, so I could've got a sub-1:27). Gonna try it in GP/F next.

Well when I looked up group b rally cars those are all cars listed on wikipedia, though they could be "Killer Bs" cars only. PM me any additional group b cars you can think of that are offered in GT5. Am trying to keep it in that 80s-ish era tho if possible.

You could try out this thread. It helped me out identify which cars are DTMs.

I included a few that may not be exact also the BMW and RUF might be dicey, not sure if they can even be fitted with dirt tires and how they'd react. But like I said it's preliminary.

The RUF series was meant to mimic like a porsche challenge type series. And since we don't have porsches...I've already got my paint job in mind ;)

EDIT: I searched the forum and couldn't find anything about a group b series (the closest thing was from a previous era, more of a vintage series). I'm pretty psyched to get working on this. I'll be looking for regs and stuff like that online and hopefully we can find an easy system for testing etc. Will start a thread when I have some more basics.
