200km sounds familiar....have you been reading my plans for the next season of endurance racing? :p

Possibly. :p
I really just rounded it off to the nearest round number. :)

Too much of a strange coincidence! :p

Dont want to give anything away so I shall shut the trap.....

Also I want to thank Cowboys965 for not quitting out of the race. Thank you. The others probably just lost connection. Nothing you can do about that.

No problem!

I pitted once on lap 27-ish. That's it.
no problem I didn't want to just quit :)

50 laps seemed fine even with a pace lap. The thing is the number is always a little rough anyways because LMPs are so far ahead of the rest of us by race end IMO.

I just realized that first turn was accident free from what I remember!
Should be a good pic opportunity with the full grid.
You working on anything TT13?

Somethings I think we need to do:

[*] Who gets to race. I don't believe that tat was signed up, but if he had been, it's unfair that he was asked to leave. In post three, I'll make a list of drivers that are "invited" to the next race, should a person not be able to make it, another driver will be invited.
[*]Qualifying with the three separate classes will take a long time. And five minutes isn't enough time especially on longer tracks. Therefore, I think we should do one of two things.
Either qualify on separate days, or combine GT and GTC qualifying and make qualifying longer, i.e. 15 minutes for the two groups. If we qualify on separate days, then the room won't be full so everyone in that class can go qualify, the top 5 move on to the race.
[*]Is everyone ok with how the formation lap went?
[*]Is Nurburgring GP/F good for the next preseason race? Or do we do Le Mans and then start the season? So one or two more preseason races?
[*]What did I forget?

Not to call my teammate out :) but I seem to remember Jav spinning into Mitch or Flyin (can't remember which) but everyone must've been ok because they kept pace without much trouble after that. In other words it seemed minor. My hit with you also caused no damage but that might've been the minor damage setting. Which I wouldn't mind if the races adopted full damage for realism and to reduce dangerous driving, but of course I like the races no matter what.

I like the 15/15 idea. I don't think GT cars will lap GTC in 15 minutes with times only a few seconds apart. Although if it's gonna be 30 min qualify ANYWAY why not do 10/10/10? That way there's no chance of getting a crap time because of traffic.

Oh and Jav I cleared my inbox, sorry about that. You can send that tune/gear ratios, if that's cool, whenever you have time!

From what I saw, my BMW definitely was faster in a straight line than every GT and GTC car I raced against. But alas, I was having trouble with my rear coming out of turns. Never had the problem when I was practicing, but the grip level was so different I was scrambling to fix it before the race started. What were the average times the GT class were pulling? I was struggling to get 1:27s which was so much slower than I was doing in practice. The PSN kicked me early in the race.

I think my best race lap was a 1:23.3xx, qualifying was around 1:23.8xx, and average race laps were between 1:24.5xx and 1:26.000.

From my perspective, the race was absolutely brilliant until I got disconnected. Mitch, Flyin, and I had a great battle going early on, and pit strategy was just beginning to come into play when my internet went. (BTW Flyin, did you only do 1 stop?)

Sorry to TT13 for the tangle we had - I wasn't sure exactly where you were going and if you were planning to let me by, and I just screwed up and guessed wrong. I hope it didn't mess you up too bad.

I was struggling to get 1:27s as well. I only broke 1:27 on two laps. The rest were mostly in the 1:28 thru 1:30 range, depending on where my tires were. I only had to pit once though.

I was, for the most part, very pleased with how I ran, despite being slow. No major mishaps, save going wide on a couple of turns.

It was great fun!

Guys, after careful consideration, I've decided that the next preseason race is going to be at Monza.
Since this track is mostly straight and a lot faster than Laguna, I'd like to see how the results change.

And what do you guys want to do about the damage?
Light or heavy?

FH, what happenned to your Lambo?
The damage on your front bumper almost looked realistic it was so bad.

I think it would be better to go with heavy damage so people drive a little more carefully

I think it would be better to go with heavy damage so people drive a little more carefully

That would be so frustrating! We are trying to keep careful, but I accidentally bumped MPower in hos rear bumper on the pace lap! It would be complete chaos even for the people having accidents, people make mistakes

Yeah, if it was just one class, I'd support the heavy damage, but with 3 classes on the track at once with sixteen guys, if someone teleports due to lag issues, there will be issues.
It can be pretty frustrating sometimes. :-/

Maybe I can run a practice and tuning online practice session later today? At Monza? Anyone will be welcome if I do, I'll post the Room number in here when I do start it

pics incoming. pics from LMES tomorrow or the next day, depending on when I can get to it.

I'm going to be out tonight.
I might hop on for an hour or so at 10:30.

Maybe we could find out then depending on connection related to gogatr's statement

👍
I was expecting better pics of turn one though. :/

Yeah I think I was just looking specifically for Jav and FH's hit and missed the opportunity for a group shot. They need to give us rewind without going back to start. I might go back and get one for you if I get the chance :)

OK guys practice room is up! Room number is 1472-6118-3744-3755-

Nobody gonna join?

Dude you totally missed my start! Went from 3rd to 1st in one corner with absolutely no contact :dopey:

I think I want to run the Ford GT at Monza, but I'm not that sure yet so keep me on BMW V12 LMR

Try and stick to the class youre in now, it will just confuse everyone.
