Ehh it's sort of different I guess? Double of our race lengths but a smaller season, let them do what they want I guess, or try to get them here idk maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea :P

lol yeah, if you look at the replay I was following mitch and potato. decided to pit last minute and went into the entrance to fast. crashed into the wall. but i also thought that the ai would take over and slow me down on its own.

Just wanted to say I had a lot of fun with this last night!

I felt my Aston Martin was a little out classed by the other GT cars. I was only able to break 1:27 a couple of times during the race. Whether that was me, or just the fact that my car isn't really suited for such a complex track I'm not sure. It does understeer quite a bit, despite everything I tried. (I still love it though. :))

Much respect for stupidstormy who raced with me almost the entire time, and who was amazingly consistent and tenacious.

The Aston does have some understeering problems similar to my Mustang in the GT3 series. I noticed it when I was practicing in it, so it is understandable why you were struggling here. It was a narrow and technical circuit. It was very fun though. I'm sorry I bumped into you a couple times. I really tried to hold back, but I didn't expect the Aston to struggle so much. I don't think it was your driving, I think the car has similar problems as with my Stang. Too nose heavy. Either that or the wheelbase is too long. I do agree that the Aston may need more work to compete on similar courses as well.

The A.I. sucks here with the pits. Either they slam into the wall at the pit entrance, or they overshoot the pit out lane at the hairpin, leaving you in the gravel pit on the inside.

I was actually considering using the Aston for this season. But, for reasons previously mentioned decided not to go with it. One of the reasons I wanted to go with it because of the looks and the sound the car makes.

I'm sure you can iron out any problems she's giving you by the time the season starts. If I didnt already have a tune for the Lambo and wasnt lazy I would have for sure gone with it.

I do too like the Aston. I just wish you can do a race mod for it. Or for all the cars for that matter.

Also, Polyphony needs to strike a deal with Electronic atrs about adding Porsche to the roster.

BMW is my favorite car, my profile pic is even the symbol, and MPower just gave me the idea for the motorsport M logo as a profile picture, but about the Porsche thing, I haven't read it yet but I hope they have Porsches and some Porsche race cars would be nice too, it would be a great addition :D

The reason Porsche is not in GT5 is because EA holds the rights to Porsche (hense all the Porsche themed games like Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed). GT5 has RUF and could possibly have Gemballa in there as well because EA does not have licensing rights over those companies. PD and EA just need to come to an agreement. Or EA is just downright refusing anything PD offers them.

But what about like Subaru or Chevorlet for example, multiple different titles have access to those, but why is Porsche different? Is it some different agreement between EA and Porsche than with other Car manufacturers?

I don't know the whole story behind it, but it's the only thing I can think of. I'll do a little more research on it.

Kaz has said that he wants to include Porsche into the GT franchise and has been on the top of his wish list, and Porsche does want to be featured in the GT series stating that they cannot afford to not be featured in such a big franchise like Gran Turismo. The only problem, EA. EA and Porsche work independantly of each other, having Porsche rely on EA's decisions even though Porsche may disagree with the decision. Other companies, such as Turn 10, have a small sublicense from EA that allowed them to feature Porsche, like in Turn 10's Forza 2 and Forza 3. I'd say it's favoritism on EA's part like I said before, and yet another reason why I am really starting to hate EA now. They used to be so good. But now...well, that's a different discussion.

Well, I'm not saying that everything about EA is bad, just some aspects that needs to get resolved. Some of their games are good, but I noticed them slacking on a couple titles. Or whatever I'm trying to say. :dopey:

However, I will say is this:

If you want to blame anybody for not having Porsche in Gran Turismo, blame EA. Not Porsche, not Microsoft, not Turn 10, not Sony, not Polyphony Digital, or anybody else I maybe forgetting here, but EA. No, don't even blame Canada for this one.

I'm sorry, but that's how I feel.
