Because I didn't want to wait another month to play with a wheel I've changed my order from a Turbo S Clubsport to a normal Turbo S + GT3 RS Clubsport so I can get the GT3 right away.

But now the Turbo S september batch is sould out and the next one is for november. I can't believe I will have to wait 1 month (or more) to play Forza 3 with a wheel because of that. Regret, regret, regret.

Thomas, can you fit my new order in the september batch assuming my original order is over 2 months old?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the g25 pedal adapter ? My 911 Turbo wheel should be delivered in the September batch. I can't find anything about the required adapter for the G25 pedals. A lot of people are saying that its not included and the I can't find the adapter on the Fanatec site.

I asked fanatec is this thread if it is just a standard ps2 -> DB9 serial but they have not answered anything. I like most people feel cheated if adaptor does not come with turbo s as feature table clearly shows that g25 pedals work with the wheel and no mention of extra things needed.

for Turbo S wheel, adaptor is coming with the wheel, so no worries there.

The adapters do come with the pure edition, but not with the other 2.

I dunno why anyone with the clubsport edition would care, but there are some that got the regular edition for the PC/PS3 compatibility right away, and the G25 pedals are better than the fanatec standard ones.

.

Yes but i did not order pure edition as all the other editions are shown to fully support g25 pedals with no extra parts :(

ps: I already bought new g25 pedals to go with the wheel

Do bear in mind guys that if Fanatec ship out the adapter cables to all Clubsport purchasers, probably very few of them will need or want to use the adapters. In a sense thats a waste and i can see reason why Fanatec may want to change shipping of these only to Pure sales. I would however think Fanatec would oblige to ship out a cable if indeed it didnt come with a Clubsport Package and a user did require it.

Considering the extra time it takes to change over pedals in a cockpit I'd question really why you would want to buy CSP and use X360 or indeed G25 pedals instead? This is different if you are buying a Pure wheel and want to use your existing pedals.

It would be best I suppose for Fanatec to update the website or indeed the comparison chart if shipments between Pure Clubsports etc will be different regards containing these adapter cables.

2 adapters will be required if the product is to meet the full compatibility listed.

1x "X360 Pedal Adapter"
1x "G25 Pedal Adapter"

I cant mind if I showed these here before or not...

Rautzuger PM me here or at GTF if you want any further help/questions.
This way it keeps this thread from different topics at once.

Ive had no problems with games in testing the GT3RS & G25 PS3 compatibility
You prob seen the previous link to the thread. Ive 9 games tested with G25 pedals working with GT3RS with the latest being Supercar Challenge as confirmed to work.
Only GT5P has a slight issue with the brakes on my prototype cable, all other games have had no problems.

*Thomas if you have X360 cables and need it tested with my on going GT3RS compatibility testing, I will gladly test it with each game.

My friend (who actually ordered the wheel) said that he ordered and paid the wheel on friday, before the september batch sould out.

So I think I'm good. But because it was so close I'm gonna be worried untill they actually ship it.

It's nice to finally hear something about the turbo s wheel again. It sounds like we might get them before forza 3's release. Since it's not coming before dirt 2 or shift, it looks like I'll save some money by not buying them.

Wow, It is September & so of you still don't have your wheels..."Pre" order.... What does that really mean.....Answer we don't have the money to pay our sweat shops in China, so please send us some.... I really had high hopes for Fanatec....But it doesn't seem to be panning out...I have been waiting for the moment when I would be able to click buy now & see a delievery date only 1 or 2 weeks away @ max.. Plus the clamping system & hardware still sux. Hell I was hope'n for these guys to put it ta logicrap/but looks like that G27 will be the wheel.

Really why the attitude, thanks for your insight.
Please do go out and buy the Logitech G27 and let us know how it plays with FM3, oh right mmm.
Most of the people I believe buying this wheel are buying it with an interest for FM3 and thanks to Thomas many of us are getting FM3 free.
How many brands are that good to their customers?

Fanatec are a specialist, they base their sales on pre orders, they manufacture to pre order batches and they ship accordingly. Yes delays are annoying but this product was announced 3 months ago to be shipping in September so sorry but congratulations to Thomas and everyone involved.

Thomas has stated before that if Fanatec wheels didnt cut out the middle man and retailed in shops they would have to be in the $600 price bracket. The Fanatec wheels have many major advantages over other competing brands which you seem to not take into account.

I ordered a GT3RS / Clubsport Pedals last night. Does anyone know when these are supposed to be shipped out?

I heard in a support email a wheel I ordered the end of last week would arrive next week- but I think I also may have read in another forum there was a week or two delay on the pedals (I alredy have mine.) The pedal info may have been in EU and not in the US where I am though, not sure...

Yeah, I think the pedals delay problem are only for EU orders. I'm also waiting my GT3 RS. Ordered last week and still didn't get a shipping confirmation.

Yeah, I'm guessing they have some to send out Tuesday if they said I'd have it next week on the east coast. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking...

I just noticed my order on the fanatec website , changed from pending to processing , does that mean they are handling my order? , i'm not really that good at english

I ordered the wheel on june 9th and paid for it on 10th june

Thanks!

Well I took the plunge and ordered the Turbo S w/ Clubsport pedals, and now the dreaded wait begins.

Not TUDE....Just a very astute observation...Glad ur gett' a free game.I'm PC racer not console, Plus I like turning left as well as right. Like I said.... I have hi hopes for them, but in the almost 2 yrs. since testers where asked FOR.....tHINGS REALLY HAVEN'T CHANGED....nO PRODUCT PERFECTION, JUST ADDING MORE. oops sry for caps. If ur satisfied w/ a free game on the intresrest of ur $$.. Thats good for you.

I'm about to order... but I'm really concerned about the fact that they don't seem to offer shipping insurance. The whole lot is going to cost me about 500 GBP (820 USD) and I can't put words to how pissed off I'd be if one of the useless shipping companies manage to lose it.

What's worse is that because of the lead time between ordering and shipping I wouldn't even be covered by my credit card insurance.

"Plus I like turning left as well as right." :odd:

What in the world does that have to do with anything?

It isn't like it was a surprise that we were giving money up front ahead of the product launch. The delays do suck, but oh well.

I am perfectly fine with a free game as interest, especially since it is the game I was primarily buying the wheel for in the first place.

As for clamping...

Hard mount FTW.

If you don't want to hard mount, and need something stronger than the included, then you can always buy the club sport mount.

So I emailed Fanatec and got this response...

we ship our goods with UPS.
UPS shipments have a standard insurance.

Strange that they don't state that on the website (and oddly state the exact opposite). Still, I'm happy enough with that.
