I was just wondering if anyone listens to Weezer? They are my favorite band! I have all thier CD's except for "Maladroit". Im gonna buy thier new CD on May 10th which is "Make Believe" too.

I forgot all about the new Weezer CD release. Oasis and Weezer, both releasing new album in May......... boy, am I lucky! :)

I just hope the quality is up to the standard of their first two CDs. I liked the green album too, but it didn't feel that personal IMO.

RF, you should definitely pick up Maladroit. I find it to be pretty much equal to The Green Album.

a6m5, The Green Album was not supposed to sound personal. It was supposed to be more along the lines of The Blue Album, as opposed to the sounds of Pinkerton. At the moment, I doubt we will ever hear something like Pinkerton from Weezer ever again because of Rivers' overall disliking of the album.

Since I have seen the announce date of Make Believe, I can't wait to pick up the album being the huge Weezer fan that I am. And for those who haven't seen Weezer's new video, "Beverly Hills", you should definitely check it out. It has a classic Weezer sound to it and the video is also in classic Weezer style. For those of you that don't know you can find the video on the web from Weezer's website site. Enter the site and click on the video that is playing on the left side of the page.

Beverly Hills. That's where I want to be . . .

Thanks Vash! Just checked out the video, sounds awesome. 👍

The guitar solo is awesome is Beverly Hills and the freakin' chorus is too dang catchy. I had it stuck in my head all day today.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the guitar solo. I loved everything about the song, but that solo was my favorite part.

The solo was absolutely awesome. I like how it starts about midsong and then continues for the majority of the rest of the song. I also like everything about the song; as it is classic Weezer at one time, but at the same time it also has a different Weezer sound to it. This song makes me want Make Believe's release to get here a whole lot quicker.

I can't wait for the release either. I'm definitely picking it up on May 10th!

I will be picking it up that day too, if only to help lessen the hurting of the wounds caused from the finals I have on May 10th.

I just ordered Placebo's Single CD so I think next week I'll buy Maladroit. I love the Beverly Hills vid! You can hear sound clips of two other songs that's gonna be on Make Believe on albumfive.com.

Seems like that part of the site is down right now, I'll have to check it out later.

I like Weezer, although I don't own any of their CD's. One of their music videos was pretty good though, I don't remember the song, but I remember it had the Muppets in it. :dopey:

That video is Keep Fishin' from Maladroit. It is definitely a good video.
Ah yeah, I remember it now. I liked that song when I first heard it, got stuck in my head for weeks. Then I saw the video and had to keep watching it. :)

Weezer is aweosme! I've got their Blue Album Deluxe Ed. and I love it. I'll get their new album eventually.

I have the regular blue album. Is the "Deluxe" worth the extra $?

I would say the Deluxe Version is worth it; but then again I am a big Weezer fan, so of course I would say that it is worth getting.

The Deluxe Version includes the original Blue Album, along with a second CD. One the second CD there are some B-Sides, some Live versions of songs, some Live and Acoustic version of songs, etc.

Here is what is on the second CD:
  1. Mykel and Carli
  2. Susanne
  3. My Evaline
  4. Jaime [Live]
  5. My Name Is Jonas [Live]
  6. Surf Wax America [Live]
  7. Jaime [Acoustic][Live]
  8. No One Else [Acoustic][Live]
  9. Undone - The Sweater Song [#][Demo Version]
  10. Paperface [#][Demo Version]
  11. Only in Dreams [#][Demo Version]
  12. Lullaby for Wayne [#]
  13. I Swear It's True [#]
  14. Say It Ain't So [Original Album Mix]

So I would say if you are interested in hearing some B-Sides from Weezer, along with any of the other songs on the second CD, I would say the Deluxe Version is definitely worth checking out.

Nice! 👍 I wish they were all demos and acoustic versions, but still looks very interesting. I'll probably get it. :)

It's pretty good stuff. I would not overlook the B-Sides though, as some of them are pretty good.

I downloaded "Beverly Hills" from iTunes.com. It's the only song available from the upcoming album, but it sounds great. :)

Yes it definitely sounds great. I hope they release another song before the release of the album, but for some reason I don't think that is going to happen.
