Anybody else bored out of the game?

I can understand people getting bored of the career mode, I'm STILL only 40% through it, the actual 'racing' is so uninspiring simply because of the lack of competition.

I'm spending more time on the time trials, my advice would be to get yourself friends who are near or BETTER than your skillset in the current TT, keep trying to beat their time and slowly but surely you will climb the leaderboards.

When I started my first TT (think it was the BMW @ Nurburgring) I was back competing around 5000, the last TT in rome I finished inside the top 200. Online and hotlapping is the only way to feel fulfilled IMO

Most of us have been playing several generations of GTs. We all know the licenses and missions very well. Fewer and fewer real challenges to make us struggle, or even hold concentration long enough. OTOH, as you can see, they got so much bad comments by making some cars 'difficult' to drive. But still, veterans can finish the whole game in no time. (Slow down guys, you're too fast!)

I think it's fair to say we all got very high expectation, every time. In other words, after GT4/5, we got even harder to please. And it'll be harder and harder in the future. We want it real and challenging, we also want it full of fun, with all types of cars, tracks, events. How hard is that?

I guess, maybe it'll finally be perfect in GGT999 on PPS997, in our next next next... lives (if transmigration does exist). Before that, I think I can only take it as it is (and enjoy the MR cars). Thanks to updates, it's actually getting better. Don't you agree? (Oh, how I wish there'd be functional camber and seasonal races.)

If got bored, I'd just turn it off and do something else.

Yes I have officially lost interest in GT6. When it first came out I was excited for many reasons. Less than 3 months later, it's over. GT2, GT3, GT4 and GT5 all kept my interest much longer! I've even caught myself playing old shooter games I've owned for years. What killed it for me was... tuning various cars, in shocked amazement and frustration I experienced several of the suspension adjustments having a reverse effect on the car. It is literally broken and I don't know if it can or will be fixed. Over and over, frustrated and amazed at how screwed up some of the tuning settings are. One of the tracks I use for tuning is SSR5... there's a hairpin (in the upper left corner when looking at the map) and almost every car got its front end suddenly glued to the road with wicked oversteer, as if the front tires hit deep sand and the rear tires hit marbles... a ridiculous imbalance that could not be fixed with different tires, different camber, spring rates, damper settings, etc. The transition from understeer to oversteer should definitely be more gradual. This is just one example of why I rarely play GT6 anymore. I never, ever thought I would be disappointed with a Gran Turismo game. I am disappointed in GT6. Anyone want to buy a nice pristine copy of the Anniversary Edition?

I am 1st a motor head, 2nd a gamer. So I will never be bored of GT6. A little disappointed with the AI like most, but driving without any driving aids is as close to spot on as I want. I also decided against using any road car with racing tires, and use only RH tires on the race cars. Its been a fun challenge, especially the muscle cars.

We may get GT6 seasonal events soon after GT5 online events ends on may 20th And if I don't get them well this game will be going in the bin.

Well i have not been on this game in weeks.

there is nothing left to do, online is still as bad now as day 1 realese.

Until we get the promised updates such as online community features, B-Spec ect i wont even attempt this game.

If and when we do get these features there just as pants as the rest of the game, well ill just use it as a frisbee for my dog i suppose.

An incomplete game makes me more frustrated and regretful of my purchase than bored. I know, I just had to have GT6, but my less-than-stellar internet connection (I live in a third-world country where internet speed is still more of a luxury than a basic need.) means I am being forced to find an excuse to subject myself to being tortured by the poorly thought out AI racing mechanics.

My love of the game has hit a low point.....I may abandon my daily log in bonus altogether as it seems like a "chore". the current state of online seasonals is really boring.....time trials have never been my cup of tea and I have tried many of the ones we were given but now they are getting "boring"....first you have to buy the car and tune it and some require cars I could care less about.......It might "peak" my interests more if we were given more choice like a "German Car Trial" with a variety of cars built in Germany ........as I am on Winter break, it's back to Skyrim......

I am not that bored with GT6 althought that has more to do with me formatting the system memory on my PS3 without backing up the data first… meaning a full restart of that an GT5 Academy Edition.

Other than doing the time trial events, yes, I'm starting to get very board with this game. If we don't start getting some of the features that were mentioned pre-release, I'll probably start devoting most of my time to NASCAR 2014.

I am kinda bored actually. Just waiting for the Course Maker and Community features to come, while I play NFS Rivals on my new shiny PS4 and work on my comic, although I sometimes play GT6. I'm just bored of sim racers in genaral nowadays.

I predict a new update will arrive next week, probably bug fixes or whatever.

It's been 2 weeks and still no update...

.

Is NASCAR 14 better than last years???? Last years wasn't that great.

:gtplanet: Forums are more interesting than GT6 right now...
Always has been, always will be. If for no other reason than there's so much content to discuss.

Personally, I was all excited and played daily when I first bought GT6, but after having PS3 problems and being too lazy to move the other PS3 from the living room to the theater room means it hasn't been played in months already. :guilty:

Haha... partially agree.

The Photo Mode Forum is totally spectacular! I'd never get bored with that! Just can't get enough. Meanwhile, I haven't posted a single photo yet is because I'm still busy on driving and fiddling with the tunings. So I'm not bored anyway. LOL.

Generalized dissappointment over-all at this point. The features we were most looking forward to such as the community online organizer is not even mentioned anymore. The game has been out for 3.5 months and there has been a total of 7 Seasonal events added. I see more seasonals being developed for GT5 than 6 ! I still see lots of bugs and glitches that are really frustrating and very little being done to fix stuff. Ironic that Kaz used to be known as a "perfectionist" and I doubt anyone would associate that word with him anymore. PD filled us with a pipeline of hype and got us all excited and forgot to mention that the advertised features would dribble in over a geological time frame reference.

Luckily I still have the GT5 Online races to do & finish yet.I've only started the last month or so & not done many.Though I think it will be gone in a couple of months :(

YES I'm glad I'm not the only one that got bored with it quickly. They need to redo the endurance races. Not like in GT5, that was a bit to much but, maybe instead of a 24 minute race, have a 240 mile race. That would last for about 4 or 5 hours. Or just have a 3 to 6 hour race at Le Mans, it doesn't have to be the 24 hour race. I haven't played it almost a month or even thought about playing it. I probably wont play it again until a major update is released (like the course maker) . It definitely wont be this next week. Ill be playing Thief.

I'm not bored by GT6. The career mode is pretty bad*, but online is good and fun.

*Chase-the-rabbit events are fine for the first few races. After the first set of races, bring out some real competition, a real grid, and a real challenge. I like that they've implemented a PP and tire limit to races, but I really shouldn't be able to drive a detuned LMP in a race made for touring cars, which oddly has rally cars among them in the grid.

Totally agree with you. I would like to see a beginner, amateur, and professional modes for a difficulty level along with the pp & tire restrictions. Maybe if you beat the game it unlocks a hardcore mode where you race against cars that have a much higher pp and the AI is more aggressive and more like a professional race driver.

I can understand the feeling that this game is lacking in content, especially compared to gt5, but I know that there will be updates. More content is coming. I get bored with every game i play eventually. Like gt5. I was bored with that before I even completed it but it was because I played it restlessly and wore my mind out.

Maybe play less and when you do play try turning the HUD off. Gives a nice feeling to the game.
