During the entire lifetime of the G25 they never rebranded the packaging, and in fact the original G27 packaging was identical to the G25 one except with G27 photos. So actually a rebrand of the packaging for the first time since the original G25 came out in 2007 is quite a big deal
There's also talk (saw on ISR forum somewhere) that Logitech uprated the brake pedal spring in the rebranded G27. Not sure if true though.
To me it implies that Logitech is actively producing new G27 wheels even months after their announcement that they were stopping with console peripherals, which is a potential good sign for Logitech wanting to offer PS4 drivers going forwards. Whether it means they will create a G29 is a totally different subject of course
