Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition features the full original version of Gran Turismo 5 game, the best-selling racing game on PlayStation 3, all of the downloadable patches and free feature and content updates through Spec 2.0, as well as a voucher for all of Gran Turismo 5′s current and yet –to-be-released DLC valued at over $25.

All of the DLC from October, December, and early 2012.

Yes.

I've provided 2 sources, in case 1 wasn't convincing enough.

Yes, it's the same game. Meaning you can install the same DLC.

PlayStation Blog says no. Just the pre 2012 DLC vouchers are included.

I think what he mentioned was what Newegg and a few other retail sites had as the game description before Sony officially announced what the game came with. I believe the sites that had the early 2012 DLC listed as part of the GT5 XL package were updated with that information removed.

I'll do some clarifications, I suppose. grashopper is correct that the XL edition will include only DLC 1 & 2. No clue where Recon got his sources since he didn't post links in his reply.

In all cases, always rely on the the official GT website for accurate information. They might not be the quickest, but if it's on the official website, it's gotta be true.

Another source from gtplanet which supports grashopper's answer.
