I got 4th on Suzuka east with the M3. I know I can do better, but damn, I gave it like 10 tries haha.

I understand how not everyone can use/afford/have space for a steering wheel, and using the SIXAXIS is perfect for those situations...but, If you want to learn about driving physics, and acquire driving "instincts" that you can use in real life, maybe even get yourself out of an accident- ditch the SIXAXIS and learn to drift with a wheel. Much more rewarding, and you can jump into a real car and make the transition into drifting alot easier.

I personally use my 6axis, without any modifications except that i put the e-brake as R1

i'm starting to learn how to drift. Using a RX 8 on GT5P stock got 3.5k at high speed ring with sixasis haha. Hopefully one day i'll be able to pull some nice looking drift. Oh yeah can someone give me like car tuning setting for the RX 8 stock to drift easier for a beginner? Please?

I use the SIXAXIS controller to drift, using both analogues. I do have the Madcatz wheel but I am still getting used to it.
I generally just drift in time trial mode under the professional setting and no TCS.
I usually use the Amuse S2000 to drift, and also the BMW 1Series Concept.
I consider myself to be good, but there is always room for improvement. It just takes practice balancing the analog sticks at the right pressure.

Drifting is very simple to do with the controller...

Make up some good settings and a good FR car and you set.

I use the Lexus IS F and cappuchino tuned.
The cappuchino may be underpowered but has a great 3rd gear for drifting in the Esses of Suzuka.

Basicly turn into a corner and tap the countersteer and control the throttle.

Oh btw this is for online drifting... :scared:

Settings would be
S3 and N3's
about a 5 springs
low as possible
4 damper

No aids :o
ABS if you feel like it
and fix the 3rd gear for about 70-80 if you like Suzuka online

im convinced its impossible to drift in spec ll with the controller

You dont know what youre talking about... I use the controller to drift and it works fine.... Ive been using a controller since GT1... so I dont know any better... Im actually scared to get a wheel, cuz I'll have to learn everything over again.... and start from scratch...blah...
