I think you guys are forgetting that "driving" is THE most important part of "racing" and GT5 crushed Shift1 in that department (considering the fact that GT5 is simcade, that says a lot). So far SMS and EA's PR team tells us they've got it right, however the videos tell us they've got it WRONG, yet again. I sure as hell hope they sort out physics this time around and that these videos are with "kid's physics" turned on, played by a guy who's never seen a racing game before in his life, but seems like we might have another thing coming. And if SMS feed us this 2-laps-a-race career crap yet again, then we might have the title "racing disappointment of the year 2011" clinched by Shift2 before the year even started. I've just got a lot of expectations for this game, because the devs have been talking this game up so much: "better game than GT5 and Forza", "better graphics", "better physics". So far I see none of it, except maybe possibilities for better AI (and that is only judging by Shift1). If they said it's still a work in progress and we're working hard to make a good game, but dont expect us to deliver the best racing game ever, then it's fine and a lot of flaws could be forgiven. But no, they've pretty much claimed this is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread in racing gaming.
