I've said it before, but the short term losses with premiums being so detailed, and taking so many man hours will reward in the long run.
We've all seen those frankly insane images of GT5 vs real life.I've read lots about it being over the top,and prioritising in the wrong areas, but in my mind the priorities will be justified in the long run.
Doing all this crazy detail now, means the work load is less and less for the next system,I'm convinced that the high end versions of the premiums we see in the images will drop right into GT next gen.and run a full NASCAR field. If you boost the texture res and quality, lighting ,kaz wants real time ray tracing, those models will probably pass as photo real next gen, during gameplay.
For PD it's a massive assets drive now, this engine is ready for next gen,all the assets aren't as yet.
I'm still gutted at how standard models have turned out,I honestly think every GT fan feels, the same, but knowing what their aiming for in another 4-5 years,I cant help but feel warm inside.
So yeah,i'm happy for the +200 premiums, because when they hit 800 on the next hardware, with all that extra power, all will be forgiven.
