And what next? You get customization, tune your car like for hour, then drive it about 10 minutes, then to go next. What it has to do with physics, or driving or something? I'm not saying that it's bad or something, but maybe they need to do more important (for driving experience) things like weather, penalty system, pit-stops, or at least DISABLE THE ****ING DRIVING AID? :ouch:

Weather would be nice but only if it didn't affect frame rate.

Penalty system in Forza works wonders especially for leaderboards.

It has pitstops.

Already done.

Listing those features, none of those have a direct impact on the handling itself......... Nice try...... None of those can be felt at all by the end user driving behind a wheel.

Are you deliberately trying to be obtuse?

Every single one of those things has a huge impact on handling.

For me the biggest feature in Forza 4 will be the ability to once again host public races which had been removed from Forza 3.

When you are the host you can disable the driving aids, set the game up the way you want and meet new people who enjoy driving with your choice of settings. They really dropped the ball in Forza 3 in this aspect and lost a lot of hard core gamers as a result.GT5 was smart enough to allow users to create public lobbies :)

Forza finally added a Cougar Eliminator too so for me that is sweet :)
You could do all that in F3. Granted it was only in private races but you still were able to change EVERYTHING about the game. Just invite some friends and put in some AI and it was a great and fully customized experience. I cant believe how many people fail to realize that. But I do see what you mean if you want to mean new people with all the custom settings at the same time.

The best part about GT5 online lobbies was the ability to drop in and out at any time. You coudd even join while others were racing. GT5 has an awesome lobby system.

Umm you could do all that in F3. I cant believe how many people fail to realize that.
No you could not, You could not host a public race in Forza 3 at all, you either had to create/join a private lobby or join the hoppers. Hoppers were the only public races and users had 0 control over the settings.

Yes you could turn off your assists but you could not set a public lobby to keep others from using them.

BTW GT5 has: graphics (5 times better cockpit view and lighting), physics, weather/night, dirt racing, track-creator, pit-stops, more unique cars, fun with UCD :)

5 times better cockpit view? How have you come to that conclusion? Also, that's only on 200 cars. The other 800 cars don't have one at the moment and most of them are going to get a generic one soon. Hardly 5 times better than Forza.

More unique cars, are you for real? GT5 is exactly the opposite, more cars that are identical to each other.

As for 'fun with UCD', are you actually claiming the UCD is a plus point for GT5?

Go back and re-read the post. I put more detail into the reply. You could not do that stuff in a public but you had FULL control over all the settings in a Private race.

GT5 does have more unique cars as well as more very similar cars. Yes they only have cockpits on a few where Forza has them on all. The ones that are there are better in GT but both are good.

btw Forza has several cars that are identical to each other and you can bet if they had over 1000 there would be a lot more of these.

I know that but that is not what I was talking about, my post was in reference to public lobbies.

The thing is that in Forza 2 the lobby system was very good and they removed the public aspect of it, suddenly we go from meeting lots of cool new people to meeting no one. I hated the hoppers from day one as did almost everyone I know. I know lots of die hard Forza 2 fans who quit playing Forza 3 within the first couple of weeks.

Last time I played GT5 it was on a 1080p screen and all the numbers and letters on the dials where blurry and barely if at all readable. I would hardly call that more detailed.

And correct me if I'm wrong but the fuel gauges don't even work in the GT5 cars.

I do not drive cockpit view very often so I would not know about some gauges not working, I know there were issues with Forza gauages not working and I know the interiors look more real in GT5 but honestly I could not care less about the cockpit view.

fun with UCD :)

I guess if you like surprises, it's fun. But waiting ages for your favorite car to appear, even when you have more than enough money to buy it is not a good thing. It's just ridiculously frustrating.

Yes the Public races were fun if you wanted to meet new people and have full customization over the lobby. You also run into some jerks too but lucky can remove them from the lobby. I play a lot more private matches with friends along with the AI so the F3 hopper setup didnt bother me much at all. Many people didnt like it, thats why its back in F4. So now everyone will be happy again. 👍

Sorry my bad, it has animated pit-stops or what?
In GT5 you can drive on-line with good physics and damage too. What exactly makes FM4 far better than GT in on-line competition?

I mean FM4 cockpit looks worse than Shift 1, Shift 1 looks worse than Shift 2, Shift 2 looks worse than GT5, GT5 looks worse than GT5P...

Makes it in total 3 times worse than GT5 and 4 times worse than GT5P
Do you happy now? :)

About cars, I mean unique, interesting cars (very old ones, crazy prototypes, tank cars etc...).

About OCD I mean it adds something to a game, not driving. However there are more fun things like Special Events or License Tests.

I wrote all it in hurry! :)

Just saw some gameplay... Sounds are better, everything else is worse than GT5. SO much hype for nothing. Handling is rubbish, graphics not on par with GT5 in gameplay, and the tracks are too wide. Nice try, Turn 10, but GT still is the king of sims in consoles.

You can judge handling from watching videos? Good work.

The general online options of FM3 eclipsed that of GT5 and FM4 is going even further.

Yea, not even going to bother if your stating opinions as facts.

Yes, you can. Just look at how the car behaves with the braking, turning. Cars look flat, and when braking there isnt a change on height(it should lower on front and go higher on the back). Oh and the graphics? yuck. Tracks? Poorly designed. Please an overhyped game.

Okay, but what exactly missing in GT5 to do a good on-line competition? Question is about "what is enough".
And what is "even further"? What else for driving competition?

Yea, not even going to bother if your stating opinions as facts.

You now just defending FM4 right? Go in tunnel in Bernese Alps and then go into tunnel in High Speed Ring for example. If you say FM4 just as good (or even better) I just shut up.

The reason they've not include night racing in FM4 is not about frame-rate, it's about Lightning engine. They just can't do it.
As far as frame-rate - it will not change because lightning engine is always working, be that night or day. Also in night races you won't draw same distance as in day track. And you can limit number of cars. Look on GT5, night races have better frame-rate than day, only weather effects makes a difference. And it's all about particle effects.

GT5 has been out about a year now

I still cannot save a paused endurance race
I still cannot REW or FF replays.

I'm about done playing it. I have every car and raced every race except the 24h. There's nothing more to do. Its like thanksgiving dinner and you've been eating for an hour and they come out with the dressing. Yeah, I pass. Too late.

I find it amazing.

And tracks are too wide? Really? Ever think that real race tracks are wide? Which, you know, they actually are.

They are wide, as wide as Forza's? heck no. Compare them in real life, and then comeback.

Hmm, even the demo Zonda dives under braking and in certain sections of the demo track even bottoms out.

The Cougar in the demo and all the muscle cars you race against have a huge amount of body roll and dive alot under brakes.

Graphics yuck? Seen a GT 5 standard model recently?

Poorly designed tracks? If ever there was a more opinionated opinion...

And I really cannot think of any game that was more overhyped than GT5. Halo 3 and MW2 had less hype...

You do know that Spec 2.0 is coming in 5 days that is going to bring those things you mentioned right? Just saying

Seen a premium one?! Oh by the way, when you have a GT5 gamer, like Lucas Ordonez, become LMP2 World champion, I think we pretty much agree which game has the better physics. When you find a Forza gamer turn a successful pro racing driver, come talk to me... That is if you find one :)

Seen Autovista?

lol, because he totally used the "skills" he learned in GT5 to race real cars.

Guess what? The guy who won the 2009 Le Man 24h said he was using FM3 to practice and numerous professional drivers have said FMs physics are amazingly realistic. :dopey:

??? Either your eyes are bad or someone smeared vaseline all over your TV, I call Bs on this, along with most everything coming out of yuor mouth.

Seen Autovista?
