Now that special online events are up and you can see what assist the driver is using i find it annoying that i'm only guy (top 20) who use 900° :indiff:

I find it impossible to beat those japanese guys who use controller, and that my best drift run didn't get updated!? WT*? After sweating my *** off on my playseat managed to get 23 802 on Eiger Norwand and dam GT didn't even updated it! :ouch:

Sorry my strong language.

Drifting is, for some reason, infinitely easier with the controller, whether it's because you can snap the direction back quicker or if there's something else, I find it much easier as well.

to be honest there should be seperate leader boards for controller and wheel.

its stupidly easy with a controller, requires WAY more skill to perfect with a 900 degree rotation wheel.

so now it tells whether a user is using a wheel or controller on the leaderboards? that's awesome!

Yeah! I found one Captain Awesome using 900° and a Clutch! talk about skill he even had good score something like over 20k :D

I just swallowed my pride the other day after about 1 week of trying due to lack of time really. I Went back to controller like the GT3 days in order to have fun online. I try to do things that I would do in my real drifter its just not working out. My hat off to you guys who are sick with the wheel.

I agree it is way easier to drift with a DS3, but it is way more fun to do it on a wheel. They definitely need to separate this on the leaderboards!

Couldn't this logic be applied to regular driving? I mean, you hear everyone say get a wheel if you want golds in the Vettle challenge...

It's stupid easy to race with a wheel, it requires WAY more skill to perfect with a controller. :P

It is defenitely much easier to drift with controller, because the short way of the sticks let you act much faster.

I love drifting with wheel, but my goodness....you can steer your hands to blood (nearly happened to me)

No and this is why this game is not a sim because no one treats it like one. 👍

I would expect the same thing for GT Academy, so have fun "simulating" race car drving technique by pushing buttons. :dopey:

I find the rally easier to control on the controller over the wheel and it's all to do with how much faster lock to lock is. I will be trying the drifting once eastenders is finished and I get the tv back from the missis

I find it strange. In FM3, being good with the wheel allowed you to be smoother and keep your wheels at full countersteer longer, instead of twitching your front wheels back and forth on controller. Wheel drifters are faster in Forza as well, due to reasons above. I suppose that since GT5 allows the player to move the front wheels rapidly on controller, its more forgiving. Not to mention the other hidden "assists" that work for the DS3.

After a certain round, all drivers need to use a wheel so those with controllers wont get far. No worries.

seen a drift car ,had a knob on the wheel like a fork lift truck, seems like they need to turn the wheel faster and the knob lets them do this. by knob i dont mean penis, try and keep your minds out of the sewer, sickos.
