Apple 2 modchip read disc error

Hi,
I am having problems with the latest new games... all burnt backups are giving DREs... Old games are fine!
my PS2 is V7 with Apple 2 modchip..
Any ideas on how to work new games? Do I change the modchip?

Ohhh.. From the subject line I thought you'd modded an old Apple II (Lisa ?) - Sorry bout that....

Apple II and Lisa are two different things. Though I'm impressed you are even familiar with the name.

Lisa was actually a failed product that was named after Steve Jobs's daughter.

Yep - remembered immediatly after posting but couldn't be bothered editing it... Is busy cleaning up the place since the parentis are coming over for the whole friggin' weekend
