We did have a Very Bad Day one April Fool's Day and as a consequence it's something that's looked on a bit dimly. That said, @Jordan did replace all of the smileys with Awesome smileys one year...

Ultimately, if it'd see you in the Ludicrous Claims thread or the Banned User Log, don't do it.

I remember someone on GTP claimed they owned an EcoBoost Mustang as an April Fools' gag. Unfortunately they couldn't wait until April and started talking about it in February instead.
