Who in their right mind would pay 90$ for a Stealth car?!

And here I was about to trade an unused redeem code for Formula Gran Turismo :odd:

isn't the only way to get all 6 without "buying/trading/guessing/preorder" to buy the sig edition which was like £120 in the uk.

i guess thats why there $90 because the sig edition was so expensive

I'm enjoying my stealth cars, my 787B has over 3400Miles on it, I'm happy I got the SE, didn't know these cars were worth alot..

I just asked my mum to buy me it, just like she bought me my PS3, lol.

I'd say no, it's just the livery. They're pretuned, and can help you before you can afford decent cars, but they're no better than the regular versions.

Some German guy on eBay did. Btw, 6 cars, not 1.

No. You can get them on eBay too. Quite a few actually.

Lol, spoiled brat. :p

Are you sure? Have you tested the difference?

The cars come with upgrades installed and seem to have some 'factory tuning' done, but I'm not sure how they could make the cars "better" than the normal ones. They wouldn't be the same car anymore, doesn't seem like a GT thing to do. I personally have not purchased a second F1 yet to see though.

According to some other posts in the forum, some people have purchased the non stealth versions and ended up with more power, less weight, etc when compared to a maxed stealth car.

Oh your one of those kids.

Well if there are people willing to pay that for them I can't fault someone for selling them but imo you would be foolish to buy them. I got one for free could have had several for $40 along with the other goodies that come with the collectors edition but I decided to get the standard instead.

I might would be willing to pay 10 bucks for the whole set but even that would be high.

I bet they will be on DLC sometime in the future.

Specific vendor preorder bonuses normally aren't released later.

The GameStop, WalMart, etc. special edition cars were never released for Forza 3. I just don't see the Stealth cars being released, especially since vendors normally don't like preorder bonuses to be made public.

The Chrome Lines? That seems entirely possible because it isn't a vendor-specific thing. It could be equated to the VIP car pack in Forza that was released with their CE.

I heard maintenance is cheap with stealth cars. You can wreck it to the fullest and it would only cost etc. etc. to repair..

First the 6 car stealth packs are PAL only, so if you do not have a PAL game your wasting your USD on cars that will not work with your game.

Second 90 USD for the things are OP, especially since the other week i saw that APEX book plus the stealth codes on the US ebay for like 15 bucks PAL only.

Third for 90 bucks well the Premium USD edition was 100, and you got the disk the chrome line line codes, that nice keychain thing, that car model, and the apex book, and a fancy case for your 100 bucks, do 6 dlc cars really seem like they are worth 90 dollars?

Fourth i do not own a psp or the psp version of gt, but i thought i had read that all the pre order dlc cars for the psp version did find their way to dl for all after awhile. So it is entirely likely that the different cars packs will find their way to PSN sooner or later, or an ultimate edition next holiday or something with all the dlc cars and patches and etc included.

Lastly it is up to the person and their wallet and etc what something is worth to them, if you think they look cool and can afford it buy it.

The retailer-specific pre-order bonus cars for GT PSP were later released as a free DLC containing them all. I'd consider that a better indicator than what happened with Forza, since it's still Sony.

First; PAL? NTSC? PAL and NTSC don't exist anymore. They only exist on previous generation's and SD-television's. Today, it's regions (only films) and resolutions (480, 720, 1080, 1440, 2K, 4K, etc.). Good luck finding PAL and/or NTSC on the cover of Gran Turismo 5 case... ;)

Second; who said I have a "NTSC" game? I only used US$ becuase it's on the US eBay. And it's currency is very bad. Again...

OP over priced or over powered depending on the context, priced would be the right context here.

PAL vs NTSC well dvds and such are still PAL and NTSC, and often EU/ASIA ps3 games are said to be PAL games and north american are said to be NTSC, point is the EU games are region locked, the USA games are region locked, asia games are region locked, etc so dlc for the eu etc will not work on our game nor our dlc work on your games without a corresponding game disk and account that applies to the region the dlc is for.

when he says PAL he's referring to the EU versions of the game. no need to be a dick.

Man no way it is worth. Keep your money.

I sell them for 89.99

hahaha just kidding.

They have a few hp more and a bit less weight. It's not worth 90 bucks.
Double that and try amazon.fr. You get the whole edition. Just the apex in french :S

Don't do it. I got a stealth Mclaren F1 with prepurchase (Gamestop,) and while it is an out of the box ringer for lots of races, I wouldn't throw down $90 for a collection of them. Use the $90 towards a great wheel.

Not so.
The games may be region coded, but are certainly not locked. For example, I own a PS3 game purchased from a gamestop in USA, which works fine on my Aus PS3 with Aus PSN rego.
I think that DLC is locked to the region for which the PSN is registered, not the physical game disk.

EDIT: On topic - there is no way i would pay that much for DLC. That is more expensive than the regular vesion of the game itself

Oh no, I wasn't trying to be a dick. I just never smileys to express my emotions... :p (NOTE: the ":p", I wasn't being sarcastic!)

You are so right. I have plenty of US imported games (they are much cheaper). They all work on my "PAL" European PlayStation 3.

I bought all of them on ebay at about 25 dollars

♦

That's sick. That was probably before they all asked insane amounts of money. I just spent U$89,99 lol.

Oh wel... :D

I've always wondered why people use real money (whatever currency) to buy VIRTUAL, non-tangible things. :boggled:

More power to you, I guess. It's just not worth it to me.

That's not entirely true.

The BF series case in point. Also, you can buy the Limited stuff from Forza as DLC now.

Besides that, the Signature edition was never available in the U.S., and some of those cars were never partof a pre-order either. Having said that, the more I look at the Stealth cars the more I think they are sort of silly. I really liked my Mclaren at first, but now that I have my 908 I am sort of "blah" about my stealth. I wanted the 787B stealth but now that I am getting closer to being able to afford one I sort of don't care any more. I would still purchase them as DLC though just to collect them.
