i will skip buying any games that has come out before gt5...

as for games that will be release after gt5, i want to reserve my answer until i see those games... if they are good enough and worthy to take my time away from GT5, then i will buy them...

edit: for sure i will skip NFS Hot Pursuit, that is getting old and it's still too much "in your face" type of style, that i hate.
for sure i will also skip Nascar games...

I'll probably get nfs hot pursuit. I liked the original nfs games which is what they say they got their inspriation from. I like police chases and I really liked burnout paradise. This might date me but I was a huge fan of the arcade/n64 Rush series. Criterion captured some of that ludicrous fun with burnout and I hope some of that goes into hot pursuit. I am hoping it is a good game. The nfs series really needs one. I wasn't a fan of Shift, it got boring to me very quick.

I wasn't going to, but after reading about some of the bugs with F1 2010 I didn't pick it up.

Sorry but only real racing game for me on consel's is GT the rest are just for people that think there good in racing games and that only now how to drive forward without brakeking and wine because they cant even take a mini on the first corner of any GT game. IMO

The only game that interested me was F1, and although I decided to skip it because of GT, I'm not going to pick it up after either.

I checked every box but now that i think about it i'll probably end up buying NFS and F1 2010 in the future but for now all i can think about is GT5.

I still have F1:CE, so I'll skip F1 2010 until it hits the bargain bin and I haven't really liked the movement of the cars in videos of WRC 2010, so I'll just skip it; Richard Burns Rally seems better.

GT5 seems like it'll be a great handful for a long time. :)

Good question, I will probably skip all of them besides Hot Pursuit. That one looks like one heck of a mindless fun.

For me its not the money or that the games aren't good enough, or that GT5 is all I need. My problem is time. I get only a few hours free each night and maybe 4 hours each weekend to play. The rest my time is working and taking care of the house/wife/dogs/Jeeps/etc. I probably would try other games if I had the time. Fortunately for me there is a lot of variety in GT5 so it should be the only racing game I need for a while.

I am not going to buy all arcade racers.. unless its fun like Burnout or Motorstorm, N4S, Dirt series can eat it. they are sim wannabies.
How in the hell did you come to that conclusion when all of those titles tout themselves as arcade games? Or are you just trying to sound smart again?

I bought the PS3 specifically for GT5 and the only games I have owned since getting the console are Uncharted 2 and MW2. I still play MW2 almost daily nearly 1 year after its release. It's a shame that Black Ops comes out 1 week after GT5. I would love to have a little more spacing, but that is a good problem to have.

The only other racing game that I might consider (that is coming out in the forseeable future) is Need For Speed Shift 2. They will have to improve in a lot of areas though fror me to even give that game more than a glance.

if it wasn't for GT5 in November i would have got a ps2 off ebay and dug my copy of GT4 out - i dont think it has really stopped me buying a game though

Well I bought F1 2010 and probably will buy NFS HP3 and TDU 2 aspart of my 7 year entertainment plan :D .C'mon nothing compares to the king.

I'll be skipping all other racing games because of GT5.I'll still be playing GT5 when the release date for GT6 is announced. :)

As a racing game fan, I buy most racers.

I wouldn't think of limiting myself to just GT5. That would be stupid, and I don't want to become one of those people.

Same here.

Seriously, all I literally play are racing games, while ocassionally playing a Pokemon game, but even that's rare. All of my PS2 games are racing, and PS3 will most likely be no different. I would defenitely get Hot Pursuit the day it comes out, along with the other listed titles, but money is a problem.

So yeah, I'll be skipping these racing games to play GT5. For now anyway. :)

I´ll buy Ferrari Race Experience, because its pricy and will shorten the waiting for GT5. The other Games listet, i won´t buy.

Why is NFS gone back to cop chases again? That's so 90's. So that's rulled out, TDU2 I might get but that doesn't come out til 2011, I wont be getting any of the other options on the pole either because GT5 will probably complete me.

Are you kidding? Hot Pursuit II is still the best one!

I just dont buy many games in general. Theres too many poorly made games being pumped out. Most racing games tend to suffer from bad physics, and I find it quite hard to be entertained by games like NFS shift simply because they are so arcade like to drive.

At the heart of every racing game are the physics, without that you've got nothing.

Silent Hunter III

they get cocky...

Silent Hunter IV :indiff:
