I already have F1 2010 and its a great game, not buyin a game because of another that isn't even out yet is kind of cuttin your nose off to spite your face if you ask me.

Its kinds of like saying you're not goin to buy another film because your waitin for the big block buster release on bluray, a ludicrous suggestion if i ever heard one.

F1 is a great game that any racing game fan should play and experience, im not so sure about NFS but they're all surely worth a try if you consider yourself a racing game fan.

No, I would never skip a good game.
:)

I bought F1 2010 (warts and all).

I may buy Ferrari The Race Experience if it in the area of being a sim and not an arcade game (I know nothing about FTRE...need to find some reviews! :) )

I have never played any WRC-related games. If I enjoy the rallying stuff in GT5 I may pick it up.
:)

I may still buy:

WRC 2010 - love rally games, will have to see how the reviews shake out
NFS:HP - I loved Burnout Paradise, so this may be a good "non-realistic" break from GT5

...and will still play Forza 3, Dirt 2, and finish up NFS:Shift.

You've never played a WRC related game? Ever!? Oh my gosh dude.. you are missing out on a fun experience. WRC is fun. Get stuck into it once GT5 comes out. It's bonkers mate.

Utter garbage. For a number of reasons I am leaving F1 2010 for now, none of which are to spite my face. Believe it or not, F1 2010 will be on the shelves in six months time, probably patched up, and there for all to enjoy in their own time. Why do people have to buy the game now? Does that make them any less of a racing game fan if they choose not to? No, of course it doesn't.

If NFS is surely worth a try, but you are not so sure about it, does that mean you don't consider yourself a racing game fan either?

Well I'm about to get rid of my xbox 360 w/ forza 2,3 and the force feedback wheel- as well as a bunch of guitar hero stuff and other games. I don't play forza anymore now that I have a g27 and a playseat. It's way too much trouble to swap everything out on the playseat just to play forza.

When I first started playing GT Prologue, I would always overcorrect on corners and lose control. Then I started playing in cockpit view - somehow it was much easier to tell when I was losing it. Since then, I've hardly played any other driving games on pc or xbox.

However, if they ever make a new GTR for pc (with a modern graphics engine), I'd love to get a triple display for my pc.

I'm not planning on purchasing any new racing games until GT5 comes out. Instead, I'll just pass the time in October with GT4 and GT5P. I've also dusted off GTR2 to bone up on Spa and Monza, and to tease myself with the GT500 mod's HSV.

I hear ya, I'm tempted to buy a PSP and GTPSP to pass the month. Funny how the exact opposite of the thread topic happened.

How many games will you buy to ease your GT craving?

I'll join in on that.
Just picked up NBA2K11.

Soon getting
rock band 3
dj hero 2
PES2011
Medal of Honor
Shaun White skateboarding
GTA4:Complete

I think that about covers October. Not sure if I'll get to play them but I know I'll have them as they release.

I am skipping three games for now for GT5 but only because I cannot afford them. I pre ordered GT5 CE but I can't really spend anymore money at the moment for games. The ones I will be missing out on until I splurge on them include F1 2010, COD Black Ops, and LBP2.

This has actually been the main one tempting me for the month. I wanna be like Mike.

I like the setup they have. As soon as the game loads, you're playing against Magic and the Lakers in the finals.

None, because I have a life that consists of many other things than simply playing games in my downtime, which I don't have much of as it is. Buying a PSP with GT5 just to pass the time sounds a bit crazy to me, but hey ho, each unto their own eh?!

Well my mum and dad are getting me a racing setup meaning that I have to buy the games. (Can't be bothered to go to the bank so I'm using left over dinner money)
Sure I'd love to buy F1 2010, WRC 2010, Ferrari: The Race Experience and Nascar 2011.
But they aren't as far up on my priority list as GT5 and NFS:HP.
In the end I'll get these, but they are not urgent wants, especially that buggy F1 game.

Pretty much buying any other racing game, because GT5 has pretty much got every kind of racing covered.

I refuse to buy NFS because they refuse to put in split-screen.
I've sold DiRT, DiRT 2, GRID, NFS:PS, and I'm going to sell GT5:P a couple weeks before GT5 comes out to some un-informed bloke.

I beat shift. That game wasn't very good. Dirt (1 and 2) and Grid were pretty awesome though. Only thing is I beat Dirt 1 on my friend's 360, I beat Dirt 2 on my PS3, and I beat Grid on PC lol.

Originally I wasn't going to get F1 2010, but because of the delay, I went ahead and picked it up and really like it.

I wonder what the F1 2010 devs would say if they saw this,I was going to get their game,but..I just thought..how can GT5 and F1 be the same price? ...one is filled to the brim, the other...meh.so I passed it up.
