Just a Q, did those Forza dev showed any proof of making of Forza 5's nord? Cause for some reason I don't believe a single thing that those devs spit out of their mouth. They have a history of lying, so I don't trust a single thing they say.

I know you probably cant give examples of lying, so try not to drag your irrational hatred of forza where its not wanted. FM5s Nordschleife is the most accurate rendition currently available, period.

I am!

edit: saw the Spa video, if you edit the lighting ini in the Spa folder and put something like 30 or 35 for sun pitch and around 280 for track orientation (don't remember the exact name) the sun and shadow direction will be more or less like they are in GT5 or iRacing Spa between 10am and 12am. You can do this for Monza too (although i don't remenber what value i used for track orientation) to make the sun and shadows direction similar to GT5 between 1pm to 2pm.
Interesting idea. The sun positions from GT6 are pretty spot-on. But I guess that's something I'll do at the end of the project. I just fixed the horizon colours and changed the fog a bit, game looks better and better in my opinion.

Few changes here and there and the game looks considerable better IMO!

Thanks guys! Looks is constantly changing and in my opinion improving.
Added some soft bloom and filtered out some blue today.
I think the "sunny" preset will be done soon, then I'll make a cloudy and overcast one.

You can, by ones action. And from the top of my head, they did and said this things in the past:
1. The most definitive racing game Forza 3
2. "The best physics you can find around" on Forza 4
3. Bullshot photos and call it in-game of Forza 3.

So yes, there's my example. I'm just saying I don't trust those guys because of history, and T10 is known to cut corners with their track modeling. I don't argue with people here in GTplanet because it's pointless, I was just asking a question, not argument. But if that's what you call hate, my guess is you love them. And since I was curious, I decided to search about it and it seems they did laser scanned the track, but to what extend is all what I'm really interested, especially the karussell section and the back straight, so the "most accurate" nord model is still opinion, until proven.

In the graphics.ini you can modify "Sky something gain" (don't remember the exact name:O) it affects the reflections (not only car reflections though), so increasing or decreasing might be helpful if the car reflections are to intense with an overcast sky.

Would it be possible to start your own thread on GTP as well? I think it's a valuable upgrade and I'd hate to see it get lost in the shuffle in this generic thread.
If you think it's worthy to have its own thread. :)

Yeah, I already raised it slightly for the current setting, so the cars look less like plastic.
I'm still trying to get a proper brightness without too much bleeding white.

How much longer do you guys think AC will officially be released and the DLC pack? Or are they taking it slow now after PCars have been delayed till March?

I feel like it still needs a lot of time to work on the issues and features missing.

It's nowhere near a finished product in my opinion.

The various Nordschleife laser scan pictures posted last week are a hint, but could mean release in 2014 or in 2015, no way of telling.

Yeah, there are still many issues. Content also needs to be streamlined. Many cars don't have working rear lights, are missing menu icons, or only have placeholder skins.

Strictly speaking AC is feature complete, and by that I think they mean features that were advertised beforehand.
But they have added several new features and also licences during development, so I think there is good reason to be optimistic for the future.

I just said that in my opinion it misses some important features. I didn't check what they promised vs what they allready delivered. It's just based on how I view the games potential and the missing parts (like weather, night racing, good A.I., specially good multiplayer features).

Regarding multiplayer, they still have to much to improve there before game is ready to launch. Yoo many things to even think game will be released this year in my opinion.

New interview with Marco Massarutto on Drivingitalia, however I can't get the page to load.

What I've gathered from the thread on the AC forums:

steam workshop
gt40 historic and gt3
no rain and night ( probably )
30 new cars in the next year
new suspensions type and 4x4
dec/jan dlc + nordschleife
new tools for mp server

There were these pictures too.

Steam Workshop would be amazing for the modding!!
Amazing? Why? Is Steam Workshop anything more than a place to share mods? There are plenty already. Just curious as to what it offers that this forum, race department, etc do not.

You have a single concentrated space, don't have to rely on shady upload sites like Putlocker, have a rating system with comments section and, the most important thing of all, when you "subscribe" to a mod, it automatically downloads and installs updates.

About rain and night; someone on the official forums elaborated: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...view-with-marco-massarutto.17734/#post-310392

Well, that's a little disappointing. There goes the possibility of a realistic 24 hour race. Let's hope they include weather, at least, because one thing is organizing your race during the day, another is always having good weather, so here's hoping for that bit of variable conditions. Regardless, the lack of those elements hasn't stopped me from enjoying games before and I must confess I do enjoy the game and I'm looking forward to the new contents.

Is there a glitch or something in the online portion of the game? Where it displays your time a few seconds faster than it should? I ask because in practice mode I could consistently hit 2:22.xxx's in the Z4 GT3 at Spa. When I went online tonight I found a GT3 race at Spa, and consistently hit 2:20.xxx on Slick Mediums. On softs I was going to hit a 2:19.xxx but the round ended. I only added 13L of fuel, could this be the reason I was able to go faster?
