Of course... You'd have bought it anyway, like the Ferrari pack you like so much.

If it didn't have Laguna Seca in it I probably would have passed on it or at least waited until it went on sale. The Guila is the only one that even mildly interests me. That LamborAudi Sesto thingy puts the "f" in "fugly". :yuck: But then IMO every Lambo since the Diablo has been pretty fugly.

Please stop! It's the second time already. :P

It's Giulia. With an accent. :D

Julia? :P

Retro Lamborghini was cooler, yes. Anyway, I welcome the Huracán Performante next to the less civilized versions we already have.

I knew it, I knew it! Mention something nice about Lambos and Brandon simply cannot resist the urge to come in and leave a stool.

:P I can't help it! They're an Audi with a carbon fiber cheese wedge body tacked on and every model since the Diable has looked pretty much the same (to my eyes). Loved Lamborghini when I was a kid but they've been dead to me for years. Now if they were to offer a Lambo Tractor DLC I'd be all over that like flies on a stool. :D

It doesn't matter if it's ugly ( its not ugly you body shamer ), the car is a beast. Don't know if you know much about the Sesto but worth researching if not.

No, that's Juila.

The Sesto is 100% what Lamborghini are about.

Okay I have a confession to make:

I've only been driving around in modern road cars and GT3/E and LMP1 cars in AC. I've only done a few laps in the more historic cars, but I've never been that into them. But after doing a serious race with the Ferrari 312/67 and the Lotus Type 49 around classic Silverstone, and wow that was the most fun I've had in a while. I can't believe what else I've been missing out on.

What are some other combinations that I need to try?

Oh and this happened

That wreck is

As for classic cars, that 312/67 is one of my favorites right now. The Ford Escort RS1600 is a blast too though. Definitely give that a try on a smaller track like Brands Hatch or Zandvoort and step up to the 'Ring when you feel comfortable for some good sideways fun.

Started up AC after a looong break, I have to say that it is thanks to PC2 that I even started it up. But once I was in the server browser I kind of got turned of about playing AC. I mean, no server was up that really hit the spot, no good car combination or any truck I really liked as I usually drive on the street car server.

Anyhow I chose a greek server with 570s, a lambo and 488 at Mugello. Well, becasue I have not touched AC for a while I drove really bad, but everything felt so unintuitive. Later I changed to a p1 gtr at Barcelona. The car did not want to hold the line at long sweeping fast corners at Barcelona... Bah those sweeping turn irl with a bike are easily taken at 140-160km/h but in AC a trackday car struggles to do that. Bahh, instant turn off. And not only that it turned me off of buying PC2.

Bah, maybe it is my empty stomach that is getting the better of me but I wanted to convey that even what is considered best do not come close to the real deal. Maybe my next post will be the total opposite but for know PC sims suuuuuuucks :P

What do you mean it did not want to hold the line? Understeer? Make sure that your tires have been warmed up, and it also helps to keep the air temperature above 20 degrees. Track surface grip is another potential factor making things difficult (optimum and fast usually provide most traction). All this being said, don't expect a P1 GTR to take a sweeping bend like a bike. Nor does it handle like a fully fledged GT race car, so I'm sure what you want from a realistic driving game.

A game is a game, even a PC sim like AC seems no exception to this rule, not yet anyhow and especially not now when I am waiting for my Pizza :P

Well yeah tires were warm and the track seemed to be warm too. And to be honest a track days focused P1 GTR with slicks on should be way better than a bike with stock dunlop sportmax 2 tires without any tire warmers/blankets.

Nah not understeer, I reacted how the car simply could not hold the line at those fast sweeping turns. The line just got wider and wider and wider yet I did not go super ballistic speed. To reign the car back I had to keep her under light speed of 4.4 when 6.6 is the speed you can hold there with a bike. That was the thing that did it for me and I had to turn off :P

Now while waiting for my kebab pizza every Race sim is an arcade racer, probably until I get fed :D

Yes, your point being? AC focuses on realism to a higher degree than some other racing games, such as GT or Forza. It's pretty much the general consensus.

I wouldn't really know how it would compare to a bike under the specific circumstances you describe. However, I sometimes come across people who assume that track-prepared hyper cars are capable like the average GT3. No doubt the P1 GTR is faster in a straight line, but the 650S GT3 will give it a headache in most turns and long sweeping bends.

Ok, please eat your food then.

And with this my F2004 performance I posted yesterday on the Video thread, I am even more convinced that there's something wrong with the wing setup on this game.
I mean... It's Imola, it is supposed to be a mid-to-high downforce track, right? So on a 1-25/30 front and 1-40 rear wing choise, I went for a 19-30 setup. It sounds good, right? Untill I checked top speeds: I barely did 299 kph on main straight, while Michael Schumacher did 309 in 2004 qualify on the downhill to Rivazza... And just because F1 layout had the Variante Bassa... In the meanwhile, RSR top times are done with 325 to 335 kph top speed... I mean, what the....? To reach that speed, you shouldn't go over 10-18 wing configuration probably, which is lower than a mid-wing setup. This happened in the old times also with the Exos S1. You would NEVER go to use maximum wing angle even on Monaco and Hungaroring with these conditions. Why then they should add the chance to do that, confusing people knowing average setup need?

The PC's modded track Goodwood on RaceDepartment is awesome for old cars...
Yes it is! It's quickly becoming one of my favorite layouts. I know it's not a fancy circuit, but you pay dearly for mistakes on this Goodwood track. Did you ever drive on the Goodwood that we previously had? The one we're using now is built with LiDAR data, so it's the more accurate of the two. However, I spent so much time on the previous Goodwood, there are a couple of sections that the previous Goodwood obviously didn't get perfectly right and it's really screwing with me when I drive the new track. Still, I'll get over those habits in time... 👍

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Wait a minute. Are you telling me that a $50 software racing simulator doesn't perfectly reflect every aspect of the real world? Someone get Marco on the phone. I want my money back. :P

Your arguments are that you can't hit the same speeds as Michael Schumacher, but at the same time admitting very skilled AC drivers are completing the lap 3+ seconds faster than Schumacher's lap (max speed 325 kph)? :boggled:

You actually opened my mind about that honestly! I never looked at it that way! How will anyway anyday anyhow anywhere a 50$ software be able to simulate/replicate real life?!?!
Now I look at it differently. What was I thinking when I expected just that?!

Regarding that 3+ faster thing, yeah well, when you're in your Air conditioner, sitting peacefuly, on a racing wheel, with no real G-force acting on you, neither actual real factors, nor the risk of huge accident or life loss etc... I think then getting faster than Shumi won't be that much hard; let alone the fact that the sim is not replicating even real life physics or cars anyways!
