They definitely are a PITA, I saw them and my head exploded when I tried to paint someting!
Wish they where as easy to work with as iRacing's templates...

Finished, now I just need to make the preview pictures.

Here I leave you a gameplay with the new car and circuit added today in Assetto Corsa, it's the Lotus Exos T125 and Nürburgring GP. The video includes a lap and its replay.

I hope the sounds will improve soon, or before release anyway.

I like what Kunos is doing, focus on the core (Physics, handling, tire model etc) then add the extra bits later. If they can't fix the sound, well we have the moders for that. :)

And still, some of the sounds are the best in all games, expecially for italian cars (italian team, it was suppose to)...
Listen to both in HD:

Assetto Corsa:

In the game sound seems just to have less "bass", but it can be related just to the audiocheck quality on the real-microphone or a not 100% accurate capture for the game...

And do you want a comparison between Assetto Corsa, our Gran Turismo 6 and the everybody-want Project CARS? Here it is with the MP4-12C:

This is the real MP4-12C on board:

Don't get me wrong, I like AC. I don't even consider GT in this equation, I've given up long ago. pCARS sounds are just as digitized. Kunos is doing a great job, but the sounds are very artificial sounding. As mentioned, modders will offer alternatives, I just don't understand why developers put such little effort in something so important for immersion.

AC sounds are a bit crappy to be honest, not as crappy as Gran Turismo but a bit off, specifically on the GT cars and the whole problem is how they're mixing all of the sounds. For example, transmission whine goes up in pitch with vehicle speed and not with engine RPM like it does at the moment in AC, some other elements are wrong in the same way...
Hopefully the community will find a way around that design to fix the sounds properly.

I agree, for me personally it could be much better. R3E still is leaps and bounds above Assetto Corsa in the sound department. That is not to say that AC is bad, but there is still room for improvement.
