Hi All. I would like some help please if anybody plays AC in VR with a G2 headset. I am having trouble getting it to run properly.
tried a lot of settings from windows mixed reality and steam vr settings. I was wondering if anyone would share there settings please. I have a top system now after upgrade with 12900k and just got a 4090 and 32gb of memory. Flat screen fantastic but struggling with my VR. I would really appreciate any help.
I sent you a PM

Might not be the best place to ask, and if you know of somewhere else please let me know!

Does anyone know of any repositories of livery elements you can easily incorporate into making liveries? Somewhere you can download stripes, logos, design elements, etc.

I love making full grids but pretty much I just google wallpapers, logos, etc. while I build up my own repository. And I see some people here churn out incredible liveries on a regular basis and wanted to know if there were any tools that can be utilized that I am completely missing out on. Even if there is a community of AC painters I don't know of
http://gtswiki.gt-beginners.net/decal/?searchword=&type=0

It's primarily for GT Sport but you can download the png's and use them for anything. Needed a Pierlant logo for the 962 and got them all there.

Lamborghini Huracan ST EVO2 GT2
v. 2.01
Made by GUERILLA Mods
3D Modeling, Mapping, Materials/Textures,
Animations: Benjamin Baron, Timo Hartmann
BOP: Immanuel Vinke
Textures: Marcel Erner
Sound Design, UV Mapping, Materials/Textures: Timo Hartmann
Custom shader patch 1.76 or above required!
Instructions:
This is our first car to use cphys tyre model which features realistic temperature coefficients, grip curves and contact patch calculations
Furthermore, this is the first car we release with cphys suspension calculations and brake temperature feature.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Quick explanation for the brake balance. With KS physics you set absolute brake bias so the value in setup becomes the distribution. With cphys you set line pressure at the main brake cylinder while the actual brake power is calculated by rotor and pistons. So 50% will be more like 70:30 in our case due to the larger front brake systems.
Extra Option A: Interior endurance light
Extra Option B: Endurance lights exterior
When I tried to run this car, I got massive FFB vibrations as soon as I hit the start button. Is anyone else experiencing this wrist-breaking FFB?

(Just for the record, I also tried unpacking the car and turning the FFB levels WAY down in the car.ini file, but it still does it.)

Not here. But I find the FFB on the weak side (DD wheel), had to crank it up by 5 units in the FFB app to get the right feel.
Very strange you get a opposite sensation…

Thanks Fanapryde. 🤜

When I start a session, I get an almighty clunk through my wheelbase and crazy oscillations even before driving away, no matter what I set the FFB multi level to. It really caught me by surprise the first time I started the thing up.

It's not happening with any other car either.

EDIT: Turns out that it works OK if I don't unpack the data file. Unfortunately though, that means I can't adjust the steering assist level to my preferred setting.

Guys, i have been trying to solve this problem for weeks now...
Lotus Elan S2 (M100) is shown in CM Showroom but I am getting error message in Showroom and in game too CTD.
Does anyone know what that "one" object might be?
Maybe someone has a working in original AC?
As far as I know, this car doesn't require CSP (I don't have it), so in theory it should work.
Another week and I'm going crazy with this problem...
Thanks!

Strange. I have no problems with the car. Just to make sure: We are talking about that version: https://www.patreon.com/posts/roteoseu-elran-68864583

Suzuka 2022 extension is now available for everyone on patreon 🙂

Random question Pyyer:
Other than the obvious upcoming GP circuits, do you have anything extra planned?
Still working on Pescara's many buildings, making it towards Villa Raspa... 192 unique buildings alongside the track made so far, each with windows/doors/balconies made as accurately as I could get them. Incredibly tedious stuff, believe me! :D
Still got around 30 to do, then the rest will be copy + paste ones in the distance and along the two 5km straights, otherwise Assetto Corsa 4 will be out and I still won't have finished. Then I can proceed with the terrain/scenery and trackside objects finally.

Have you ever thought of releasing a WIP? 🤩

Hi,
since user Ken134 asked for the Le Mans 1993 Ratel #56 livery for the Venturi 400 GTR, I have put it together.

1665998369511.png

In LeMans the team actually raced a Venturi 500LM which derived from the 400 GTR but had modifications to bring it up to the speed of the Cat.4 GT cars. This meant a different spoiler with an ajustable top plate. A different bonnet, slightly wider body work, racing tires and a stronger engine with 500 HP at 7200 rpm, Twin-Turbo with 1.1 bar boost pressure and 650 Nm torque.
Most of the 500 LM cars have later been modified to 600 LM cars with 600 HP with 1.2 bar boost pressure and slightly different body work..

Venturi.png

I wanted to modify either the existing Venturi 600 LM or the 400 GTR to create a placeholder car for a Venturi 500 LM.
The 600 LM seems to be the logical choice but it has a very low quality model. The 400 GTR does certainly not have a model up to the actual standards but it is far better.

I sadly do not have any experience in creating my own tires or suspension files and I do not want to do a simple copy and paste job of other files if the content has nothing to do with the real car.

So I decided to ask for help. Maybe you guys are also interested in having a Venturi 400 GTR, Venturi 500 LM and maybe also a 600 LM in good quality with convincing physics.

Step 1: would be editing the data files without touching the 3D model

Step 2: could be a modification of the 3D model by replacing side panels, rear wing, bonnet.....

In the end we could have 3 different cars all based on the Venturi 400 GTR following its real life development.

Who would like to help in Step 1? You can either answer here in the forum or send me a PM.

Daniel

Yes, yes mate...
You're a capable guy, so pardon if this is a stupid question.
The ZIP is packaged badly, has no enclosing folder.
Did you work around this and get all the files in ..assettocorsa\content\cars\sdw_lotus_elan ?
Related: I tried it here quickly and it doesn't throw any errors in CM Showroom or in game.
Edit. It does have an /extension folder with an ext_config.ini, indicating that it might be a CSP requirer?

I tried it yesterday, doing a few laps in Imola. FFB is weak, as @Fanapryde said, even at times when it should be decidedly noticeable. Also I noticed that when I change gear the car over-revs like a manual car (if I don't lift off the accelerator). I haven't run on acc in a while but I don't remember that the ST EVO 2 behaves this way

the 2nd NZ rally escort is complete, though i am not happy how these cars are looking on the model that I am using. The flares are wrong and make the stripes look hideous. It also doesn't have the correct wheels and doesnt have a LHD option. Sadly missed out on getting the free Escort that Digital Motorsport released a year ago.

Hannu Mikkola driven Masport Escort. (Should be LHD and have minilite style rims)

Recoloured the Sanyo Escort, that I posted up yesterday. This is more the correct colour.

Off the subject of Rally cars, a friend I raced with in classic racing took a Honda Civic from New Zealand and raced it at the green hell. This is a WIP, im waiting on more photos of the car to finish it off.

I looked at the modder's other cars. In some car cases, it indicates if CSP is required. In the case of Lotus, there is none.

FWIW, I downloaded the car to try.
In vanilla AC, CM, showroom, CM showroom all works fine.
Analizing the car reveals it's not great (rear suspension from Abarth 500 AC, too high triangle count in LOD A (only LOD A present), dash cam not set and it uses (very) old tyre model v3.
Other than that I have no issues.

Of course I do! 😅
Don't want to tell too much obviously, but there is some WEC & IMSA planned, former F1 tracks...
Oh and if you follow F1 news, some really recently unveiled current F1 track future layout is coming soon too... 😉

I loved the car.

For me, the only problem is that when I go to 2nd gear (in both automatic or manual gear/clutch), the tires go smoking. And this is smt that happend to other cars of u guys.

And the cars are really unstable when making turns, and I play only with traction control ON. I know that these cars are beasts, but u should be able to make a turn with them without crashing into the wall.

Any tips/solutions for stop the cars of doing that?

I normally love doublezero's tracks but I thought there was something wrong with my installation until I read "photogrammetry mesh is very low quality and unoptimized. It is an experiment."
It does look quite odd at the moment. Hopefully he'll keep refining it.
ditto - felt the same way upon testing it... the track layout is of good quality though, just like other works produced thus far. there's definitely room for further improvements to come.

I did delete the ugly trees from the track (Circuit d'Ajaccio) completly by adding this line to the ext_config.ini:

[SPECTATORS]
MESHES = terrain_?_SUB?
[LIGHTING]
LIT_MULT = 1

That way the trees will be identified as spectators and can be turned on/off via track adjustments in CSP:

The track looks very empty now but IMHO still better than with these "Picasso-trees"
