sorry I know I already asked... but I put the spain 2019 track into my kunos Barcelona track. Is anyone willing to upload briefly the original kunos Barcelona track?

So, ive been lurking on this forum for some time and as this is my first post here I just want to give everyone a shout out and a big thanks. this is an amazing resource...

now that I got that out of the way, I came across this bonkers free roam track which I've not seen on here before and is definitely worth sharing. How does 750KM of open roads in Scotland sound? Its an absolute monster (1.09 GB compressed) and even though freeroam isnt really my thing i love it. Its in early beta now so Im sure there will be further development in the future.

enjoy.

Looks great!
Road in the car i was in is very rough, but might have been the car.
Had to knock down to my 'video 2' settings to get 60 locked.
Epic project for sure.

Hi KonniRichter, I saw there was a winter pack mod that was just released very recently. Should be exactly what you were looking for to simulate driving on icy lake condition.
View attachment 894162
Version 1.2
  • 7 cars and 6 winter tracks
  • Road cars and super light race cars with studded snow tires
  • Realistic physics model
  • Unique winter battles on the ice. Be the part of outstandingly close drift runs.
Scroll down to middle of the page and you will see the free download link:

https://worlddrifttour.com/

Have fun!

Oh look, cool and interesting cars once again turned into drift machines ! Anyone willing to 'un-drift' those cars ? Trial version of 3dsimed ran out and I really don't fancy installing a weird keygen software to reboot the 20 days.

Are you using the photo mode for screenshots or free camera + print screen? Asking since when I use shutter speed for replays, when I do a screenshot in photomode, the road isn't blurred but car
Do not use the photo mode, because the camera will not follow the car.
Press F5 then you can use the free camera that following the car

Can you post your nice screenshots and motion blur in extra fx settings? I think I am doing something wrong since I have a very little amount of shutter speed effect even when I slide it to the max value

Hi !

Modders who are involved in... modding cars (^^), I have a question which is just an intellectual curiosity.

About the turbo cars, from the 70’s and around mid 80’s, is It difficult in physics terms to simulate the lag involved by the low power without turbo action and after the rough power engine coming, involved by turbo action ?

The Kunos Lotus 98T is, in my opinion, very well simulated for this kind of problematic (even if I will not able to just start the car in 1st gear IRL^^), as the Porsche 917/30, the 935 Moby Dick and 962C for example and to stay with the AC vanilla cars.

Thanks a lot for your interesting replies.;)

The way it oughta read.
'Please feel free to post in any language you like but you must include a translation in English.'
And then we've got to go and check on that translation to see if that's what they actually said, when if they post in English we know what they actually said.

No, it's fine the way it is.

The extended physics portion of CSP has negative boost. This allows the proper delay before the boost kicks. The native Kunos version really does nothing as any lag in the turbo could just as easily be written into the torque curve so that lag becomes redundant. The extended physics creates a simulated delay between full throttle application and any boost coming on and then the boost can be made to come on gradually or as a massive hit as some cars were purported to have.

And then we've got to go and check on that translation to see if that's what they actually said, when if they post in English we know what they actually said.

So I want to say 'torque multiplier', in my native tongue that is tordmomanto multiplikanto. So I look up google and find that that translates into English as 'treacle basting'.
So as I am not allowed to post in my native language I post 'treacle basting' and nobody knows WTF I am saying.

If I post 'tordmomanto multiplikanto' and perhaps indicate that I am writing is Esperanto, but the language is usually obvious, and also post 'treacle basting' then members either through more experience with Web translators or indeed native speakers of the source language can correct what was intended to be said.

In short you are wrong, please change the policy lest you're fond of being a Bully.

p.s in Russian it is Convert which is obviously Conversion but is translated into 'make an envelope'. Just to serve as an example.

@GzeroD

I understand and I thank you for your technical and argumentative reply.

Well what I meant is (and I understand the artificial side of the turbo effect reproduction in, for example, the Lotus 98T which is here, the racing car I Love the most to challenge for virtual driving in AC), good skills are necessary for a modder to reproduce this as well !?

Yes not many mods use the extended physics*, but with it and the Kunos version you can get closer to the real effects.
*I don't think I have yet. If you make a car with extended physics then you must use CSP, and as not everyone does use CSP some people tend to complain.

It all started, at least from my end, when a member through no fault of their own, appeared to post complete gibberish. I merely requested they post in their native languages so if at all possible we could work out what was really meant and you seemed to think that the breach in so called 'terms and conditions' usurped the need to actually carry out a conversation which I gather is what a bleeding forum is for.

@daan

And before the proverbial ban hammer is landed on me, I may pedantically point out that I am posting in Australian, which although mutually understandable by most English speakers is not as such English.

(I'm being silly here but it's past midnight and being half cut I tend to over verboseness)

In a way, most of us often struggle to find technical words sometimes. However, I do find it convenient that we all express ourselves in a single language, otherwise it would be a mess.
"Torque mutiplier" in my language (spanish) has no sense at all, but it won't kill me to learn how to express it.
Hope you get where I'm saying this from. When I read those messages I felt like "oooh maaan we were getting along SO well..."
Sure, Daan sounds a little strict, and the fact that he has no other participation here other than to make rules clear does not favour his image. But I think he's just trying to deliver a message as precise and clear as possible, that we can all get. Hope that made sense (?)

Don't want to sound pedantic chaps but we're going 100% off-topic in this thread again only a few days after a clear-up of all the PC performance chat was necessary.
There's a dedicated site support section here which is far more appropriate and where you are far more likely to have concerns like this looked at in a meaningful way by site administrators.

AC capability amaze me!

Today I play Forza track, Dirt 3 track and best moment was racing with friend in Mario Track.

If only 1 mod pack you could show to amaze the world, what mod would this be?

For me, it would be Mario Track in VR and Shifter Kart Mod, so crazy.

What would be the most incredible mod pack in your opinion, to showcase AC today.

Edit:
I see someone also bringing sega rally tracks into AC (from Tekno Parrot) to play in VR this thing crazy good.
