looking at the pack compared to the SD version it seems some work has already been done if my memory serves me correct.

interiors seems to have better textures etc.

the data files have been changed to reflect more accurate bhp and the cars now run wet tyres when it rains.

as usual LODS come out messed up when using simplygon default settings on an SD car. ive never been able to get decent lods by adding mesh names etc to the list, maybe someone else has had more success
I'm pretty sure it is the pack from the discord group El Locho mentioned a few pages before, same naming and everything.
That would mean it's already version 9, so yeah, work was done for sure. As I said, far from finished but the pack is fine for a 1976 mod in my opinion, better than that SD - cheese in any case, even if it was maybe used a starting point for the modifications.

I was looking in many places for Mazda Miata soft canvas roof version, left pilot position.
I didn't find good one, so I edited one, used the original Kunos Mazda Miata... if you like, you can download it here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/ffbakbptg7u2439/AC_mazda_miata_+soft_canvas_roof.zip/file

I did try searching but because this forum has a crappy search function I couldn't find an answer...anyway my custom showroom seems to have defaulted to the "lite showroom" and I can't figure out how to get it back.
Has anyone else had this and knows how to fix it?

Try the little drop down triangle and load up the showroom this way instead of clicking the button, it helped me in a couple of situations.
Alternatively try the option inside the showroom under the "eye icon" called "load from another preset".
Hope you can solve the problem

well it seemed to have fixed itself by ticking and unticking the "use old showroom" box in CM even though i'd tried this earlier and it didn't change anything. Weird how CM does this sometimes and just has funny moments.

Thanks for answering tho

try my LUT
it might be abit soft in the center...
My profiler FFB is 107, you might want to mimic that
did that, thanks. It reduced the clicking significantly but not completely.

May I ask what are your FFB, Gain, Filter etc. settings on CM? I use that as a default launcher.

Thank you, now I know the proper way to do this.
I usually try it by putting a config ini into the skin folder but it dosen't work on every car. For example:

[DRIVER3D_MODEL]
NAME=driver_no_helmet
POSITION=0.0,0.0,0.0

Did work on the nissan though:

My parents used to have an RS Turbo!

Where can you find Tony Cooke's mods? He did Rover SD1 and Jaguar XJS mods that I'd be keen to check back in on.
My Facebook timeline was literally plastered with his posts today, so if you have an account there you would have to be in one of the assetto corsa modding groups.

Just did some laps in the Escort, it's a really nice mod, especially with the sunroof open. Just need to animate the crank handle and maybe the side windows as well.

Ok, so I did redo the updates...
  • Transparent sun roof
  • Working wipers
  • Rain drops on the windows including sun roof
  • Speed and gear indicators
  • black window edging (is that the correct term?) visible from the inside
  • Copied shifting animation from one of the Kunos cars (not perfect but better than nothing)
  • Changed the driver from driver_no_HANS to driver_no_helmet in driver3d.ini
  • Included the used fonts (though they might be stock ones from one of the Kunos cars, idk)
For those who want to try it out, here's the link:

PS: the mod is still far from perfect, there are gaps between the ceiling and the sunroof, the lights on the dash are not working, I haven't fixed the mph scale, there are still rain drops inside the car, ...
Wauw thanks, awesome!
I repacked it and also added 2 more skins, I couldn't help myself either ;)

the full package is now here and have sent it to Assettoland as well for update on their site.
(i didn't include the fonts, as they are indeed from a Kunos car, so I guess everyone has them)

cheers!

oops I should have tested first ...

“mini_cooper_clubman” is damaged, LODs list is missing.

EDIT: is fixed now

I wonder if getting permission from GUERILLA team we could manage to implement their tyre and suspension models with temperature physics for other AC cars as well or better yet as a global feature throughout the entirety of it affecting any kind of car instead of each one, would further evolve AC into new heights of realism to rival other simracers such as rFactor with a similar tyre physics I presume.

Hi guys - Does anyone have a Zwiss Mid-Ohio and/or T21/Norms Long Beach version with a proper road mesh? (Instead of what feels like billiard table smooth surface on the versions that I have.)

Someone released a mesh for Long Beach here just a few days ago.
I use the NAGP version of Mid Ohio, which doesn't feel smooth. I'm not sure if Zwiss based his version off that or the original. Maybe @Fanapryde could confirm?

Has anyone overheard anything about a collaboration between Legion and Bazza entitled GPL66 please? It also says V3...
