Can't remember the last time i downloaded a car or track from here no, I don't need to, i might buy really good stuff by the top guys but thats about it.

I don't do this for money, but i see all the time people release stuff and it gets sold on in other places, thats not something i want to be a part of. I can't be arsed to encrypt them, so i really can't be arsed to see them getting rinsed out and ending up as drift cars on patreon behind a pay wall........

So i just mod stuff and assume people just like to see stuff anyway, I don't look at people posting pictures of their cars on motoring forums and ask them if i can have it...
Either we like to see mods being made, or we are just here to grab whatever we can to feed our addiction.... which is it?
I had written a few sentences.
Deleted all, because I am not political correct for some. For you, I was not for sure, boy.
You give a bad name to AC community.
Be happy, there are a few here that are 🤮 as well. You're not alone.

Have an average day.

You've never driven a Reboot track, or one from @shi or @RMi_wood..?
🤔

I have no problem with you modding for your personal use. That is your hobby. However, this is a forum that is primarily used for the shared enjoyment of AC mods. Of course, you are not required to share your mod, but I think you misread the room.

You may find more enjoyment on a website forum that is dedicated to modding tools where you can show off your work and discuss modding/Blender/Photoshop/etc tools.

Hello everyone, I am working on creating the entire race grid of every single racing series in existence.

I will however not share it with you people cause it's just not a thing i do. Also the images of the WIP's will be private just in case someone takes them uploades them to their patreon or uses them as skins for their drift cars to sell on gumroad.

Keep your eyes peeled on it. It will be great.

Hello,

I had recently posted on this forum to share an issue I've had with reflections for a while now. I've posted on a few other platforms in the meantime but unfortunately no one could really help me, or for a fact find someone with the same issue as me.

To quickly recap: I’ve been dealing with a strange reflection issue in Assetto Corsa where AI cars seem to reflect the environment based on my car’s position, rather than their own. For example, if I’m on the kerb, I can clearly see the color of that kerb being reflected underneath the car in front of me — even though that car is still driving on the racing line and nowhere near the kerb.
The screenshots are all from the front-bumper camera

It’s really immersion-breaking and has been bothering me for a long time now, what feels like months now.

I’ve been trying every single setting in assetto corsa/ CSP settings for weeks on end and nothing seems to affect it. I know for a fact it's not due to my ppfilter or weatherFX, as even with those set to default the issue will still be there.

At some point I feel like I'm going crazy, is my game supposed to look like this? No right?

If this persists I might just reinstall my game, which is gonna suck a little bit so kind of seeing that as last resort rn.

If anyone has come across this before or has a fix/workaround, I’d really appreciate any help. I'm getting desperate..
Thanks :p

This seems to be a good time to be back to AC. Some things never change🍿
ACE = shiny & new wanted to see the nexgen of AC, back in Jan thought it's pity I'm finally retiring AC. To AC I recently added Speed Sensation, Alternative FFB & Simhub UDPConnector. Driving a JDM from Jugee8 down Kazekaeshi Touge...well ACE is sitting until release 1.0 as even it's early FFB ver that seemed fantastic seems unfinished and basic compared to where AC is today.

Anyway, back to the topic of AC...

So I've grabbed the new CSP preview, and with it comes one of my most requested features: (probably not my suggestion specifically) - the final "New Main Menu" is here, and on first impression, it's really excellent.

Pics (sorry for overexposure, I'm in HDR and the AC F8 Screenshot which adjusts for that doesn't actually capture the UI):

(actual good screenshot after hitting TAB to minimize UI)

Everything works. The UI is scalable and readable, the spacing is redone and legible, the Pit Stop Strategies show up and work just fine, the Timing Tables are there and work well, and clicking on different drivers to watch their onboards also works perfectly now, as does hiding the UI to just watch. None of these functions worked on the last version of the "New UI", which I presumed to be a dead project. Yet, here it is in "final form" - and it's great.

There are really small things to improve, like the spacing on specific setup pages could be a bit better and the silly car render (seen in the second picture) still looks bad, but my initial impression after an hour with it is that Ilja and co. have done an awesome job here.

I recommend updating just for this welcome QoL update.

Most sensible reply, so yes you are correct, and i do post in those forums.
I won't post up anything in this section again, personally I like to see stuff being made that is different from the norm and i assumed others would.

I am tempted to encrypt it and flog it now.

Yeah, everything works...

...This message pops up whenever I wanna update a car preview using the csp method, both on 2.9 and 2.10 preview whatever.

There's always, ALWAYS something not working lol

Oh, yeah, for sure - I only meant the New UI itself.

I am quite certain other old things are broken, or new things don't work properly. It's half the fun of CSP! :)

(I never use the CSP previews render - I hate it and actually have gotten into heated arguments here about it)

Anyone uses the "Lock mirror option" (hold alt to lock setting simultaneously like the tyres pressure) stop working? It's not a deal breaker, but it's been bugging me since it works well in v0.2.9

Hey, I want some popcorn too! 🤨

It's been a while since I updated you on my work. To be honest, priorities have changed a bit and I have less time for modding. Actually, I have less free time for simracing too. The only two cars that are almost finished are the 695 Abarth and the Ferrari F430. I would like to give them to you, as the last project to do together. Mine is not a goodbye to you, absolutely not, but a "see you later" to modding. Thanks for all the help you gave me for the past projects. If you want to finish them, I will upload them as soon as I can.

The F430 GT2 is an old BEM mod, as you already know. She need new animations and seat position, some shaders tweaks, lods, cockpit HR and LR, sound (I've made one myself but is horrible) and proper physics (I've only made suspensions).

For the 695 abarht, I've found the 3D model (Forza Horizon) online, I don't remember who uploaded them anymore. The 695 has scibsound's 500 Assetto Corse sound mod as a placeholder, I wanted to do it myself from scratch but maybe someone who is really capable of making sound mod can do it better than me. I'll delete it before uploading. She needs a lot more work: missing labels, missing seatbelts, missing textures (es. tail lights), missing sound, missing animations, some panel gaps needs to be adjusted ecc.. Wheels are scratch made because the original ones were terrible. Physics is taken from 500 Assetto Corse. She also need a proper dashboard, I've used the old model because doing this stuff with blender it's a nightmare.

Here are some screens.

That's 2001 FIA GT livery, and that championship is missing in Assetto Corsa. 2002 livery is slightly different.

I would like to take this opportunity to comment that my 2002 FIA GT skinpack is getting a complete rework, with easily 30 more skins between GT and NGT. My plans are releasing it soon :)
Ah damnit shame that there isn't a 2001 livery, i personally llike their 2001 livery more.

Thx for your work on 2002 pack! looking forward to it.

Maaaaan 😕, I've been really looking forward to the F430 GT2 since you sent me first pictures of it a while ago. Really sad to hear you go, but it is what it is. Take care man 🤝.

Its a CSP thing. Track Configs. Its gets the content from Github where these tweaks can be added
Awesome. Never knew this after all these years haha.
Is there some website I can track these changes?

Found it: https://github.com/ac-custom-shader...blob/master/config/tracks/ks_nordschleife.ini

You guys are talented and I'm sure you'll be able to make some great mods out of these. Have fun, they're all yours. Remember, the 695 has no sound :D
