I wonder how much of the styling cues from the Spectre DB10 will make it onto the new DB11. It'll be interesting to see how well the car fits with the AMG GT's 4.0 twin turbo V8 alongside the traditional V12.

I just hope it gets the Aston VGT and Vulcan rear lights!

I kind of doubt it as the Vulcan and DP100 are both extreme cases whereas the DB11 is a core model. The old DBS that was built for Casino Royale went into production with the styling virtually unchanged when it replaced the old Vanquish. The styling transition from DB10 to DB11 will be much trickier as the Spectre car is just a rebodied Vantage.

Looks great apart from those taillights. I don't think they suit an Aston Martin

And i am still sitting here, not knowing what the frick happened to the DB8. And V8s don't count!
From what I understand, they skipped it because the DB9 was such a dramatic improvement over the DB7 going up by one didn't do the car justice.

Looks closer to the Vantage V12 than the DB10, a good start but nothing groundbreaking from AM.

I think this DB11 should take cues from the One-77 or the Vantage models. And yes- the DB10 was incredibly plain. At least AM's like the One-77 and recent Vantage models were seductively aggressive. With this DB11 deal here, I don't really see seductive aggression. I'm just hoping Aston Martin doesn't start making bad looking cars after making very few bad-looking cars the previous decade (at least to me). It will be interesting to see what Aston Martin comes up with here.

I agree 100% with you sir. 👍

This is an early mule covered in tape so there is a ways to go yet.

I'm fond of this Aston Martin DB11 in this state. That mean silhouette shouldn't be messed with. The rear of the car doesn't look overly boring or anything. So judging on the latest spy shots, there is a good bit to be excited about in its design. I'm digging it.

I'm not a big fan of Aston Martin, but this looks good so far. Don't do anything weird with the design!

The taillights are probably just filler pieces, but the front shows that they are willing to do some major tweaks the front end, finally.

Rumours suggest a twin-turbo AMG V12:

Our source's interior shot also confirms this DB11 prototype is powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 engine, with the labelled switches clearly visible at the bottom of the instrument panel.
