Aston Martin DB9-R?

I remember buying GT4 and looking for the DBR9 on there! Wasn't surprised when I didn't find it, the game only came out about 6 months after the DBR9's debut. But then not including it GT5? Jeez....

I seriously believe we need a RM update or DLC with RM versions of current GT cars...

That would be rather good....hmmm thinks:

I concentrated on existing premiums (faster to do RMs on an existing high quality model. But I cannot disagree with the RUF, S7

And I defo agree with the R35 and Ford GT!

RM cars to a GT spec would be awesome. Then change a couple other standard race cars to premiums (Nissan R390 and the Toyota GT-ONE), then get a Porsche licence and have a premium 911 GT1 then i'd be well and truly happy (although the last bit doesnt look very realistic, who knows).

The GT-ONE was my favourite car in GT4, just sucks that it ended up being a standard car in GT5.

It does not matter. KY said he wanted to add in FIA GT series and DTm series to GT5 but was unable to add it in at the end so we will probably get those cars and more in GT6.

Problem is, at its core, the GT series is primarily aimed at the Japanese market and fans of Japanese cars due to the fact that Japanese cars outnumber European and American cars by a huge margin. I realize it's much easier for them to model Japanese cars being in Japan but so many manufacturers and models are simply neglected. I mean, take Aston Martin. The '06 DB9 is the newest model they have. I mean, where's the new Virage? DBS? V12 Vantage? No premium RUFs.
While the latest DLC is not bad, it's not mind-blowing either. The two VWs are nice but nothing we haven't seen before in other racing games and they're not exactly prized collectors' items. New Mini Cooper S with 8hp more. Really necessary? Another GT-R R35 (although I won't moan too much here because the '12 version is significantly more powerful, not just different cosmetically)
The GT86 '12 is a nice car but again, I would have preferred something more.....I don't know, EXOTIC.

One or two miatas/roadsters models would have been nice instead we get 10000 years worth of the same car, sorry rant
The extreme amount of duplicates are standards. Thats why I dont think waiting another year for an extra 50 cars minimum while not including the standards would have been worth it. I only say, "not including the standard cars", because of the fact that all PD had to do was port 800 cars from PREVIOUS GT games.

Basically, comparing the time it takes to do the truly meticulous work of modeling a premium and the time it took them to port the standards, I dont think duplicates slowed down the progress of modeling new premiums as much as some people like to think so. Not every new car to the series is a premium, just like not every standard has been in past GT games.

I'm saying all this because people seem to think that the standards and/or the duplicate standards were only included for the high count even if theyre Usable FOR OUR CONVENIENCE. Only 2 prem miatas
