more importantly, why the hell is there a premium version of the Kubelwagon and Schwimmwagen
Yeah, they added redneck nascars, even though they are all the same with different liveries, but no real racecars.
What also isnt right is you guys bitching about PD's lack of cars, yet really, odds are, its the car company that has said no to having the car in the game. All comes down to licensing. Cant have more F1 cars in the game because PD doesnt have the license to make a F1 racing game based on real life. They put NASCAR in because they did get the license. They cant get more RM cars because, You guessed, they cant get the car company to say yes. Its all well and good for you guys to sit there and bitch about all the cars that arent in teh game and how they should just put it in and whatnot yet no one has any idea how hard it is to get the copyright cleared, get the licensing with the car company, model it, make sure the company's happy with it, and if they arent, the car gets left out. Ever thought of that? No, cause all you guys want is "The Perfect Game" that has everything YOU want. Well, fact of the matter is, you dont always get what you want in life, realise that, get over it and enjoy the game for what it is and what it has. End rant.
I dont believe you, youre saying that aston martin for example said yeah go ahead any put in the db7 two db9's ans the old v8 vantage but dont put in the dbs or the new vantage ? jog on.
I realise that is the case with maybe porsche but come on
Only one premium Aston pfff. They at least need the DBS or a racing mod option my the DB9. I think a premium DB5 woulda looked pretty nice too
They would in my books...
So, why didnt we get the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Leggera? The Ferrari 599 GTO? The Dodge Charger SRT8 '08? Vauxhall VXR/Holden Clubsport? The Zonda Cinque, F Roadster, The Tricolore? Citroen DS3? The Citroen Survolt? TVR Sagaris? Volkswagen Scirocco R? Why Didnt we get the '09 RX-8? BMW M6? Mercedes SL 65 AMG? Ferrari 612 Scaglietti? Ferrari Testarossa? 288 GTO? Ford Mustang GT500? The Audi R15 TDI? Audi A1 through to A8? Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship edition? Lotus Europa? Exige? 2 Eleven? The list could go on. Most of these cars, Im certain, Kaz would add to the game in a heartbeat, so why didnt he?
Because PD don't have the amount of 3d modellers they NEED to model all the cars they should have. And they wasted time on quirky cars which have no mass appeal.
Zonda
most people would, but the whole argument is just so stupid. they'd put in every car if they could.
Because any new additions (apart from 1 or 2 cars, for example the Jag XFR) are modelled as Premium and more importantly I love these things.
There is more then enough supercars in the game already.
they are a silly addition though, if you asked people to write a list of cars that would most likely appear in a racing game i doubt the kubelwagon would ever get a mention.
Well all I'm tryna say is that GT was THE cutting edge driving simm
And yet they had the modellers to model a premium prius, honda Insight, A corrolla rally car, which was already in the game, 2 suzuki cappacinos, a '89 Eunos roaster, another R33, another R32, another R34, 4 GT-R's (3 woulda have been acceptable: The Proto, the Black Mask, and a production model) 2 Premium Rx7's (Why not just leave it at 1?) 2 suzuki Swifts. Take out all teh excess and they woulda had time to model soem more, good, favourited cars,
EDIT: I believe we ujst argued the same point........... Anyway, my statement still stands, they couldnt do S*** without the company's agreement.
We sort of agree. PDs choices, KNOWING, they had limited modelling resources were strange. But I do disagree on the licensing issue. Why would Aston Martin agree to one car over another? I'm certain it was just a time issue and the insane level of detail on the premiums sucked up modelling time.
Oh come on, show some love for Suzuki!![]()
people are so clueless. i happen to think the car selection is second to none among all other games. there might be lots of skylines, but what else has everything from the Zonda to the Ginetta G4 to the Opel Corsa to Ferrari Enzo to Suzuki Cappucino to Ford Mustang....you will find the car list is more varied among manufacturers to ANY OTHER console game out.
That reminds me, we don't actually have a Premium Zonda road car.
Asking for too much, I know, but I'd take them over a Suzuki Swift.
it's just so stupid to argue that they'd rather put little japanese cars than supercars. they would if they could.
That's just your opinion which differs from mine, thankfully the car list isn't compiled by the majority, as that would result in a huge amount of supercars which appeared on Top Gear.
There are people who have a more eclectic taste and appreciate variety (that's including supercars which I also love), they might be in a minority and these little 'Nazi-buggies' obviously aren't appreciated by everyone but I love the fact they're included, silly or not.
Whatever the reason is, Im sure its a silly one that should be fixed by GT6.
I just realised a brand new angle we can look at GT5 with. Why not think of it as GT6: Prologue. Not perfect, but close.
They have time for GT6, I cant see graphics getting much better for that, so they dont need the modelling time to model the already modelled premium cars, they just need to work on removing some Miata's, Skyline's, mutliples of the 1 car. Turn the Standards to premium, tweak the performance of the game, add the cars that missed out GT5, Add some more races, fix the Online servers, fix whats wrong with this game (Technically they can just use this as a base, template. Save alot more time that they can spend on fixing bugs)
....Wow Im long winded tonight...well, this morning....
Then, release GT6: Prologue, but make it kinda like GT3 or GT4, where its a full game, but not a complete version. Use the money from those sales to go towards begging to get the Aston Martin DB9-R and other gorgeous racecars. Hows that sound?
