Well we have a forum for 2 wheeled rec vehicles so I thought why not make a thread for 3 and 4 wheeled toys. Just talk about your quads and things you like doing or have done to them.

I do NOT have a four wheeler, instead I have a 3 wheeler. Actually had 2, until the guy that rebuilt our engine put water in the gas and melted the piston, therefore shooting fireballs out the exhaust, so we sold it. That was the other wheeler I had.

I've currently got a 1985 Honda ATC 200X, and the other one was the same (except I remember it being white for some reason, but I've been told they were the same. I was like 4 when this happened). It's in near perfect shape except for a crack in the plastic and a loose chain. Has a slight intake issue but runs ok. And with cheap gas in it, it puts out a lot of smoke. Well not like barreling but quite a bit. It ran on premium for YEARS. Losts of miles on it. We still even have all the original tires and rims. We got both for 500 bucks back in '92. The tires on it now are from the old one we used to have but still have the others packed away. I tell people that ride quads that you aren't talented enough to ride on 3 wheels haha. It's been rolled so many times and there isn't a ding on it and the handle bars aren't bent.. The ride is incredibly smooth, it rides so smooth I almost never feel bumps. It's great. With the balloon tires on it, it tops about 55-60mph. With stock tires its more like 70. Well, post away.

BTW, this isn't mine, this is a pic I pulled from the internet shown with stock tires, and then the ones on it now:

Trikes are fun.

Friend of my uncle's has a 250 Big Red, goes pretty much anywhere a quad does... And I've rolled it fewer(!) times than the quad.

I never cared for the Big Red's. Those are more like work bikes and sportsmans then toys. They still move pretty quick though. The power of those little 200's and 250's in impressive. These things are much easier to hydroplane too...I've driven ours through a pond because it has a snorkel that came with it from the factory.

My dream wheeler is this, the 1986 Honda ATC 350X:

Well what's the bloody point of an ATC/ATV if you can't use it for work of some type? :P

I know, I know. Fun. Thing is, there's exactly no law saying you can't have fun with a utilitarian version.

Not to mention, the Big Red probably isn't all that much heavier than a 250SX.

Oh you can have fun with a utility one, believe me.

A 250SX is pretty much a 200X with a slightly bigger engine with an automatic clutch instead of a manual clutch. Oh, and it's electric start and shaft driven. I stick to my 200X though. A 200X is a a pretty fast trail bike, the smallest of the race models from Honda in the '80s. People underestimate these bikes so much.

My old small engines teacher had a 250R (BANSHEEEEEEE KILLLLLLEEERRRRR) and he said that thing ripped and did circles around Banshees. I've seen videos on YouTube proving this.

I think the Tiger 500 was even faster though...Thats the only trike that looks remotely close to the old one we sold and that thing was WAYYYY faster than the 200X, hence probably why I never rode it.....Cept we had a light, and it was a 4 stroke.

Or the Nicholson 500 Turbo....
