Exocet Racing joined the BTCC as Rob Austin Racing in 2011, and has fielded an Audi A4 for its eponymous driver ever since. Former single-seater and sportscar racer Austin achieved a podium finish towards the end of his maiden campaign at Rockingham, before returning to the rostrum at Croft in 2012 – a season during which he was occasionally partnered in the team by Will Bratt.

In 2013, Austin was the squad’s sole representative and the outfit was rebranded WIX Racing in deference to its title sponsor. Podiums at Brands Hatch and Knockhill preceded a hugely popular breakthrough victory for the Rush star at Rockingham. Following WIX’s departure, the renamed Exocet Racing returns in 2014 with the Audi A4s for Austin.
