I forgot about this thread.
Ooooooookay...from the top.
Holdenboy, my Gemini did 220km/h, but was only a 4 speed. Like to see a manual V6 Commodore do that.

And 2ndly, your comment about the 250km/h V6.....bro.....that was so funny I almost spat Coke on the computer.

It took HSV until the Gen III before they cracked the 250km/h mark, in all honesty the ONLY way a V6 Commodore will get 250km/h is if it has a pair of snails pumping some SERIOUS boost in there!!
As for the STi comments, you have got to be kidding me aren't you?!?! Let's break it down for an Australian delivered STi:
Stock: 195Kw@flywheel - 40% drivetrain loss with WRX's = 117Kw@wheels.
Currently: 240Kw@wheels + 40% drivetrain loss = 336Kw@flywheel. = 437hp@flywheel.
So for $10k, she's more than doubled the power at the wheels. That's a bargain in any language dude. And I'll be real with ya. That power at the wheels is an EASY high 11sec car if driven right. If you guys can handle that, more power to ya's. I know how hard 4WD wheelspin is to control.
Leonidae, your Taurus reminds me of the TE/TF Cortina but in 2 door version which we never got here. Our ones came with either the 2.0L pinto 4cylinder (80hp stock, can be worked to 195hp N/A or 500hp+ turbocharged), or the 200ci (3.3L) six cylinder or the 250ci (4.1L) six cylinder. My ex-fiance's brother owned a TF with the 250ci, with Triple SU's and a crapload of work done to it, proven 12sec runner N/A. These days the 4.1L's are now being fitted with turbo's and running 9's here, and then there's people like this guy who puts a twin turbo V8 in there and runs 6's @ over 200mph on the 1/4!!
Enough of my novel, I've got more things to pick at another time.

Mafs!!
