This car also appears in GT2.

Mini is German in the same way that Jaguar or Land Rover are Indian.

Nope...
MINI is solely BMW. The only British thing about them is they're made here. Mini, on the other hand, was swapped about from BMC to Rover. They are solely British.

We're talking a brand versus an actual model here.

The Classic Mini in GT6 was a purely British car, yet it's in the MINI dealership, that's my logic.

Old mini = British

New mini = German

Simples

That's the logic everyone's challenged since the car was introduced. For GT7 I'd like to see them put the '97 car in the Rover dealership.

Nah I think it deserves it's own mini dealership. The company may have changed through the years, but the car design didn't, hence it deserves it's own dealership (marked British though this time :banghead:)

But the in the day this car was built there was many variants of it from Morris , Austin , Riley , Wolseley all members of BMC "British Motor Corporation. But this specific car did go under Morris Mini Cooper 1275 S 1967 :)

Like HSV said the 1998 Mini Cooper i goes under Rover Mini Cooper i

Just not that simple though is it. Surely they'd have to license the car from BMW, then license the Rover badge and name from Roewe... I'd think marrying that up legally might be a pain.

There would just be a confusing mash of Morris, Riley, Wolseley etc.

I think BMW would be OK, but Roewe... might be a struggle. No likely to happen, just my vision for the cleanest dealership.

Because it'd just be a mash of various different brands' cars. But that's the most realistic option, so I'd go with that.
Well I don't see of adding a million classic minis in gt7 (if any at all) so I don't think it would be a problem. Besides it can't get any worse Than that silly senna branding

Actually I stand corrected, according to Wiki Ford own the Rover name, hence SAIC/Nanjing or whoever had to use Roewe.

Fun fact, BMW also own the Riley brand name....
