Well, MachOne's pretty much nailed Bahrain, not much incidents. I know two midfield runners (Dubois?) collided but only was forced to pit, Chang and maybe one other driver was forced to pit from a podium spot after mechanical problems, and Toyota remotely detonated Mason's engine again. Cause he was in the points.*checks* Wait, he's in BMW now. That's strange.
But I meant to make something like this before the first race, so...
CCYoshi's Official Predictions
Doing Well:
Midland: Double point finish at Bahrain and two enthusiastic drivers may inject some life into this team. Also some bias involved.
Horton: Has never really been a worry to the leaders but new teammate and contender Davidson may help Horton get some time in the spotlight. Has always finished close or near to the points, a little push could get him some podiums.
Mason: A new less craptacular team may mean points for this quick yet unreliable driver. Ran in the points in Bahrain before the engine bit it.
Allman: Can be tempermental and forgetful at times but if he keeps his cool his pace plus Ferrari performance can be dangerous, he has won in the past.
---
...Not So Well:
Shepherd/Williams: An overall dismal finish at Bahrain has led to some worries in the Williams team. Shepherd performed well in the Aguri last season but may not have the same chemistry with a new team and teammate.
Toyota: Toyosuck. What more to say?
Haswell: Not an exciting welcome back drive by Haswell - he was strong in Season 3 but 4 was mediocre and 5 nonexistent. Does he still have the touch or is Bahrain a sign of things to come?
---
And the most important predictions (and for those of you wondering why you weren't in the Good column, this might be why...)
Constructors' Champion: You've seen this before, Renault beats Ferrari by a few hairs and there's a dogpile for third.
Overall Championship Finish:
5th: Narayan (Who is this newcomer? And how did he win his first race in an Aguri? Keep an eye on him.)
4th: Davidson (Nearly took the championship last season, and is likely to do well this season, his move to Honda is nostalgic and emotional but doesn't make sense pace-wise)
3rd: Chang (Will be a strong contender with his recent move to Renault, can qualify strongly but has minor issues with converting poles to points. This year could be his breakthrough)
2nd: Domingues (Coming off a brilliant championship run should boost team morale and he's always been a strong finisher. He has a strong team and teammate but I feel two in a row just isn't going to happen)
And the champion of Season 6 could be, should be...
1st: Beyens (Has always been close to the championship in one way or another, came very close in Season 3 and was the teammate in Season 5. Can win races but consistency in scoring is an issue. If he can fix that I can see Ferrari carrying him to victory lane)
However keep your eye out for a phenom named Kawasie, he might shake up this top 5 order a bit this season
