There was a 1986 F1 guinea pig series up sometime earlier today! Anyone get in?
*curses school* Looking forward to that soon now...
CCYoshi's Not Late at All Momentum-o-Meter: Indianapolis
Looking Up:
Beyens: Widens the championship lead, although only by 2 points.
Shepherd: Has shown great speed and improvement, earning 2 wins under new leadership (if y'know what I mean)
Whitcomb: A brilliant drive - stalled at the start, fell to dead last and came back to earn a podium in front of a frenetic home crowd.
---
On the Edge:
Midland: 6th place and a PODIUM! Everything's all happy again. Now let's see if they can keep their momentum.
Davidson: Retired twice in a row now. It's good that he was leading by a wide margin, showing the Honda's pace, but this sort of unreliability isn't good for the championship contender.
Renault: 15th and 16th. First double non-points finish since, like, ever. (Incidentally, it's Istanbul Season 5)
LeSabre: Stat of the day - has not scored any points - but has finished every race. How's that for awkward? Also...came closest at Indy to scoring Toro Rosso's first point (9th)
---
Falling Down:
Chang: Finished outside of the points 3 races this year - the last 3 races. Where is his momentum from early season? But, still is 3rd in the championship - can he fight back?
Championship contenders who are not Beyens and Horton: Positions 3 through 6 all failed to score at Indy. Strange!
---
And for a final stat...take a look at the Constructor's Championship. It's very competitive!
