I think that was meant to be a wasp, as the theme of the car was.

Oh, my bad.

Still a beautiful car though

I always like the Telefonica Minardi scheme, the one in which Minardi scored a point!

Marc Gene scored, I believe.

Reminds me of Jordan, now those were nice colors, especially the model with the snake on the nose. (If I'm correct that is...)

Pink, you were originally correct. Jordan first used a snake theme on the nose, then a wasp/hornet and last of all shark. I'm not gonna post all the different noses for the year, but here are the 3 main.

There was a 1986 F1 guinea pig series up sometime earlier today! Anyone get in?

*curses school* Looking forward to that soon now...

CCYoshi's Not Late at All Momentum-o-Meter: Indianapolis

Looking Up:

Beyens: Widens the championship lead, although only by 2 points.

Shepherd: Has shown great speed and improvement, earning 2 wins under new leadership (if y'know what I mean)

Whitcomb: A brilliant drive - stalled at the start, fell to dead last and came back to earn a podium in front of a frenetic home crowd.

---

On the Edge:

Midland: 6th place and a PODIUM! Everything's all happy again. Now let's see if they can keep their momentum.

Davidson: Retired twice in a row now. It's good that he was leading by a wide margin, showing the Honda's pace, but this sort of unreliability isn't good for the championship contender.

Renault: 15th and 16th. First double non-points finish since, like, ever. (Incidentally, it's Istanbul Season 5)

LeSabre: Stat of the day - has not scored any points - but has finished every race. How's that for awkward? Also...came closest at Indy to scoring Toro Rosso's first point (9th)

---

Falling Down:

Chang: Finished outside of the points 3 races this year - the last 3 races. Where is his momentum from early season? But, still is 3rd in the championship - can he fight back?

Championship contenders who are not Beyens and Horton: Positions 3 through 6 all failed to score at Indy. Strange!

---

And for a final stat...take a look at the Constructor's Championship. It's very competitive!

Honda 66
Renault 65

Williams 57
Ferrari 57

McLaren 39
Midland 35

Toyota 23
BMW Sauber 21

Red Bull 14
Super Aguri 13

Toro Rosso 0

Every team has a rival to either catch up to or fend off - fight for your position!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

At least now I don't have to worry about deciding which game to choose for my open slot. I'm holding it open for when this goes public.

You may think you're free of Toyota, Mason, but we'll always be there dragging you down.
We are the poisons that crawl through your veins.
We are the toxins that stagger through staged channels to tired limbs.
We will always be there whenever you have doubts
Or an unclean conscience.
You will never be free of us.

Well, nice qualify and I'm looking forward to the race as I've been strong the whole weekend now. But just as people said before; these times do not always count in the race ;)

BTW: Where the Mclarens at? And Honda?

Another points finish. That’s 5 in a row. It’s not spectacular, but I’m out of the championship fight so it’s somewhat solid.

I was expecting much more out of this season, though.

1986 F1 is public!! Go! Now! Enthusiasm and exclamation marks! Woo!

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go whine about my lack of public slots. (Only 16 more days...) Private games are full up with GTP F1 and the A1 Cup. Oh well...

(race report in a few hours)
