Pre-Race Interview With Lee Davidson.

Today we caught up with the young Brit, Lee Davidson and tried to find out his views on todays race.

So Lee, you have qualified in 4th, the highest since Melbourne, happy with the progress the team has made?

Yes, deffinaley, the start of the season didn't go to plan but everyone down at the Brackley factory really pulled out the stops to get us back towards the front of the grid.

You won this race last year in a very eventful manner, looking to do the same this year?

Of course I'd want to win but Haswell is incredibly fast right now, a bit unlucky maybe and perhaps I could capitolise on it. But I see us having a good battle with Ramos in the Williams, he done really well to get 3rd on the grid and I'm looking forward to it.

And you team mate seems to be getting back to pace.

Yes, I'm glad to see he is getting back into the swing of things after quite a dark period, hopefully we can get a double points score this race.

Do you like racing here at Indianapolis?

It's a challenging circuit, theres no turn like turn 13 on the whole calendar, the midfield section tends to be pretty bland but it does promote overtaking so thats a positive and I have done well here in the past.

Whats the fan support like here?

Yeah we have a number of Honda flags in the stands, nice to see. Not as many Union Jacks but oh well, I'd be suprised if the crowd isn't supporting their countrymen.

Thanks for your time Lee and good luck with the race!

No problem, thanks.

Beyens and Haswell conspiring to kick Hutchison out of Renault!!!

It is reported that Haswell illegally contacted Hutchison claiming that he was going to be taking his seat next season.

Beyens and Haswell enjoyed a successful relationship at Ferrari which harboured many points and a Championship win for Haswell. Since Beyens transferred to join Hutchison at Renault, they have both wanted to reunite that partnership.

Hutchison was first told about this in the paddock by teammate Beyens when he apparently started dropping hints about Haswell joining Renault. The big shock then came when he was directly contacted by Haswell, bribing him for his seat.

Beyens and Haswell refused to comment, but Hutchison was willing to talk openly.

"Yeah, he came straight out with it. He wants my seat bad. Lots of money has been thrown at it, but honestly, no amount could move me. I am now in my third season and very happy here. The team is good to me and i am putting in some solid performances."

"Long story short, i told them: If you guys want to race together, you better go to Torro Rosso cos I aint moving."

The FIA is reported to be investigating the incident.

*Breaking News*

Formula 1 driver Duncan Hutchison was found dead at his home in Ealing, London.

Authorities say it looks like a murder. There are multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and head. FIA Officials say this may have something to do with the recent hassle between Blake Haswell and Hutchison over the Renault team position.

We will keep you posted.

Hutchison alive!!!

Hutchison has been spotted in his villa in Southern Spain relaxing in the sun.

He commented to reporters: "HAHAHAHA, that was my evil twin brother Damien, not me!!!!"

Statement From The FIA

In reaction to the latest news of Haswell looking to move to Renault, the FIA have made this response:

The FIA believe a contract has already been signed between Blake Haswell and Honda Formula 1 Racing Team. The contract is binding and if Blake does move to Renault for next year instead. All his points from this season will be taken away due to rule breaking.

This also includes taking his points away in Ferrari total team tally. The FIA will not be mocked by this blatent abuse of the rules.

Beyens: "No pressure from me!"

Today a press conference was called by Renault driver Jef Beyens and his manager to answer to accusations of pressuring Duncan Hutchison to leave Renault.

The Renault driver, currently second in the championship ahead of todays race, denied that he was pressurizing his teammate to leave Renault in favour of Australian Blake Haswell joining the team. When asked about for his comments, Beyens had the following to say.

"These accusations towards me a completely unfounded. Granted my time at Ferrari developed my working relationship with Blake and we formed a brilliant team, however I am currently having my best season so far at Renault and part of the reason for that is Duncan. We've been working together well throughout the season and if it wasn't for his data input I probably wouldn't have the three wins I have had this season.

So long as Renault are happying to keep Duncan in the number two seat, then I am happy and priviledged to have him as a teammate."

Renault's hopes for the American Grand Prix rest solely on the shoulders of Hutchison after Beyens' Renault suffered problems in qualifying and could not set a time.
As of this time, Blake Haswell and his manager have been unavilable for comment.

Davidson: "Dirty Tactics Don't Suprise Me"

Honda driver Lee Davidson sensationally attacked Blake Haswell today after hearing rumours of his attempt to push Duncan Hutchison out of his Renault seat.

"If the rumours are true, I'm not really suprised for it to be Haswell at the cause of it. Marc (Pianelli) has been telling me of phone calls from Blake telling him to leave Honda or else. I can't believe the cheek of him to be honest, to taunt a possible future team mate like that is just disgusting."

Completely Different Now: Controversy and Conspiracy in the U.S.

Yuuji Kawasie and members of the BMW team are attempting to protest the results of qualifying, reporting that their vehicle was sabotaged before they were able to take the track. The official word is that the vehicle was "unable to take to the track", but Yuuji has a different view for it.

"They've shot through the rear tires and suspension with a .57, taken away the steering wheel, and replaced the engine with a screamer taken from some Pinto or something. I'm tempted to say it's not fair play going on here."

This evidence grows stronger as Beyens, the other championship contender, suffered a similar "unable to take to circuit fate", although the exact condition of his vehicle is unknown.

There are no suspects yet, but high suspicions are placed on the Ferrari team, running 3rd and 4th in the championship.

*Sigh* [/Enters FIA Mode]

The Verdict Is...

The FIA have came out with their verdict after checking the BMW Sauber car of Yuuji Kawasie:

The FIA conducted numerous checks after qualifying and could not find any proof of gunfire in the car.

The engine is the BMW P86, the standard engine for the team and couple with the fact they have no proof of actual sabotage the FIA must conclude that the car has not been put at a disadvantage.

Qualifying results shall stand.

"Well, obviously we had to fix the car for the upcoming race - we weren't planning to run the Pinto. However, all charges shall be dropped because the FIA likes to give and enforce penalties so I think I'll shut up about now."

[/FIA Supremo Bernie Ecclestone Mode]

BMW to be fined for time wasting

Today in responce to the BMW qualifying farce, Bernie Ecclestone has issued a memo to the BMW Sauber team notifying them that they will indeed be penalised for their wasting of FIA officials time. While the exact amount will not be disclosed, it shall certainly make the BMW team think again about childish complaints.

Oh, and in decidedly not-canon news, just got a "TOTAL MAYHEM!" start in my BTCC race (it's one up from "especially messy") - 13 collisions on the first lap, 4 cars out, 6 headed to the pits - and no safety car!

Allman: What the hell is going on here?

Toyota driver Jarrett Allman held a short press conference today...

"Really, what the hell is happening this season? People are being shot, cars sabotaged, and charges are being filed. My god, this is my rookie year and I'm almost on the verge of making a retirement."

With that, Allman left the stage with his arm around Jef Beyens' girlfriend.

Extra News

It has been announced that all the latest happenings in the F1 world, were in fact, the drivers dreams!

The shock of being beaten so dominantly by Ferrari driver Simon Trendell at Montreal caused Beyens, Hutchison, Davidson to have extremely vivid dreams, convincing them these events had happened

Damn, I came out still in first after the last pit stops and was pulling away from Davidson until I had that engine trouble.

I have the worst damn luck at this game.

(vague spoilers)

Grr. Dissapointing race. Beyens wrecked and opened the door, but just couldn't get any points. That one-stopper strategy was no good.

Oh, and Chang got taken out again $#@(*&@$(*

Good race for me, if Ashley hadn't hit me this race would have been mine by miles

However, Ferrari lead the constructors again, and i'm catching Yuuji for the drivers

Same here, I fear Owens might not be active anymore either.

If they don't appear in the French GP practice or warm up, I'll OPEN their seats for next season.
